Mio 505 HC GPS Cycling Computer
Meet the Mio Cyclo™ 505: the lightweight, easy-to-use bicycle navigation device, designed with a stylish flat screen and built-in WIFI. With bicycle and road maps pre-installed, you are able to get started right out of the box. And thanks to the integrated WIFI sensor, you don’t even have to connect manually to your PC anymore. You just press the button “WIFI sync” and all your tracks from MioShare™ are right there on your device waiting for you.
The Mio Cyclo™ 505 allows you to navigate easily from point A to B or to follow your own preferred routes. However, if you choose to use the unique Surprise Me™ feature, the Mio Cyclo™ 505 will offer you three surprising bicycle routes based upon your entered time, distance or destination. This is the ideal feature for anyone who doesn’t feel like going through all the hassle of downloading tracks. And if you are riding with more people, you just use the Shake and Share feature, which allows you to share your selected route with your friends by simply shaking your Mio Cyclo™ 505.
The flat, anti-glare 3” touch screen and lightweight design make the Mio Cyclo™ 505 perfect for anyone who enjoys style and wants a slim device to fit on their lightweight bicycle. The turn-by-turn navigation effortlessly guides you, indicating every instruction with a clear sound alert. With the simple menu structure and clear on-screen buttons, the Mio Cyclo™ 505 offers you true ease of use.
With the MioShare™ desktop application you are able to store your data and manage your route history. The easy-to-use application allows you to download routes and enjoy new roads and areas that others find interesting.
Thanks to the integrated WIFI in the Mio Cyclo™ 505, you can connect with MioShare™ without even turning on your PC. So if you found a track online, and saved it on your MioShare™, you simply press the “WIFI sync” button and the track will be uploaded to your device. It works the other way around as well: when you are done cycling, you just press the same button and your track will be uploaded to your MioShare™ account in just a couple of minutes.
The Mio Cyclo™ 505 is fully equipped for the competitive cycler and mountain biker. Apart from measuring everything you need to know about your performance, it also offers you workout programs, that can be done outdoor, but also indoor when the weather is not allowing you to cycle outside. And, to complete the package, it comes with a built-in ANT+™ sensor, so you can easily connect with a wireless heart-rate monitor, wheel- and cadence sensor or a power meter.

We love this Sat Nav and highly recommend it. The Surprise Me button is fantastic and unique, great when looking for a new route in an unfamiliar location.
Be warned this device is not compatible (as sold) with Windows 10 build 1703 which is what most people have. If you want to connect the device to a PC then you have to roll back or re-install Windows 10 back to an earlier version. It took me half a day of messing with a PC to get the device firmware updated so that it would work with Windows 10 build 1703. Merlin and MIO shouldn't be selling the device in its current state. Having said that the device is absolutely fantastic once the firmware is updated. Far better and cheaper than a Garmin. I love it. The interface is simple and esy to use. Pairing devices is easy. It picked up my power meter, HR belt and speed sensor straight away. Adding routes is also simple. I would happily give five stars if I didn't have the hassle to begin with. Other positives are the MIO website which is also easy to use. There are so many positives with the device I could go on for ages. Lastly, it's not a garmin which a huge plus if you've ever had to endure one of those. My only other minor gripe is that the out front mount doesn't have a solid lock feel to the ride position and with only a slight amount of pressure needed to move the GPS 45 degrees from its home position to release I fear I may lose the GPS on rough ground.
Fantastic product. In my first ride it went through 2 hours of sun and dust and 1 hour of pouring rain. Works like a charm. I'm using Mio Link wrist heart rate sensor and Ant cadense sensor what came with it. Both works perfectly. When first installed to my PC it downloaded a firmware update and after that a big software update (over 1Gb of data). Another very usefull feature is WLAN, so you don't have to connect it to your computer. It uploads everything to Strava (or many other training software) straight from the unit. Another great feature which distinguish it from the competition is SurpriseMe! -function. It picks three different paths where to ride where ever you would like to ride. You can tell it I think endless ways to surprise you, be it road surface you want to ride or distance you want to ride or how long you want to ride or even how much calories you like to burn. You can even give it an address, or a place in the map and choose SurpriseMe!, and you get three different routes to go. A Almost anything is possible to SurpriseMe! -feature. I use it almost every time I do a workout. I give it some data, for example I have time to practise 2 hours and it calculates me three different kinds of paths to ride. All in all Mio 505 is packed so much features, the list is almost endless. And figure it out, everything works like it should! It could be paired with your phone, showing text messages, calls or you can get a nice sounding lady speak everything to your ear -using your phone as a gateway. And if you dare, Mio 505 can be using to play music from your phone (I tried Spotify and it changed the tracks and play/pause too). All in all, breathtaking equipment. No Garmin or any other Bicycle GPS computer can get even close!
Great GPS system with a rather good battery life. Only hiccup is to update it on windows 10.
I purchased the Mio to replace a damaged unit from a leading maker of GPS units. At first not as easy to use but after a few uses works really well and being cheaper offers great value for money.
Good map coverage, plenty of features, accurate tracking. Decent battery life and a clear screen
Navigation is good and the unit is easy to use, a little slow to respond sometimes.
