Moon XP1800 Rechargeable LED Front Bike Light
The Moon X-Power is a trail ready 1,800 lumen front bike light for those needing a wide and consistent beam to illuminate the way ahead. 1,800 lumen is for use in pitch dark areas with no lighting.
Heat sink cooling system

The high brightness LED’s heat up the aluminium body whilst operating. Moon have built an efficient cooling system to increase runtimes and the brightness of the LED from 15% - 30%. Crucially to reduce the heat generated by the LED’s the X-Power 1800 is designed with an aluminium body and equipped with air venting.

Over heating protection system
X-Power 1800 will detect if it is running without adequate airflow. A protection device will automatically start to dim the light to standard brightness mode. This reduces the heat of the light and ensures the LED’s are not damaged due to overheating.

Remote handlebar switch
Included with the bike light is a remote switch which allows you to scroll through the 7 brightness modes via a button on your handlebar. You don’t have to take your hands off the bars to change settings, ideal if you’re trail shredding through open ground and tree cover.

Only used a couple of times so far but on both occasions works brilliantly. The handlebar attachment is solid and reliable and the battery straps make it easy to mount to the toptube without too much trouble. Battery came in box charged so was ready to go out the box. Have not yet tried the helmet mount so cannot comment, although if I were after a helmet mounted light I'd go for something with an integrated battery to reduce the faff factor of connecting your helmet and head to a rucksack mounted battery
This is very bright and long lasting. It is very bright for mountain riding. The design is good. The battery can charge the smart phone and it is useful in an emergency. I do not regret buying.
