The Northwave Escape Evo MTB Shoes have a simple design, and are perfect for wearing when either hiking or cycling. The Damp-Lite outsole is very versatile and has a light Eva structure. It guarantees the best grip and traction because of the natural rubber tread that is incorporated in.

Mr Burtenshaw I needed shoes that I could walk in while still being "good on the bike" these are great. Ride ten miles then walk around town etc - I've now got "good" cycle shoes that allows that riding in trainers is ok but cycle shoes make such a difference these are a great compromise.
Mark Replaced my 10 year plus pair of Shimano mtb shoes and so far are very sturdy and comfortable.
Mr Wright These shoes are a good shape for my wide feet. They have a thicker sole than other shoes I've had so I needed to raise the saddle, so far the soles have stood up to my pedal pins well and they were good for walking too.

Ewan P Cant recommend these shoes highly enough. These are a second pair which I sized up to allow additional room for an extra pair of winter socks . The original shoes are still going strong after 5 years of sterling service being ridden regularly 2 or three times every week . Very comfortable , lightweight and durable , with a good wide fitting , tough sole and simple but effective closure system of lace and strap. Good to walk in too with no sound from the metal cleats .
