Ritchey WCS C260 Road Bike Stem

At 103 grams this is lightest, most advanced alloy stem in the Ritchey line, and possibly the world. This revolutionary patented design starts with a bar clamp that wraps a full 260 degrees around the handlebar to distribute clamping stress more evenly through the handlebar, faceplate, hardware and stem body. The steer tube clamp uses three bolts and a curved slot to reduce clamp stress on the steer tube.

The body is 3D forged from an advanced 7050 aluminium and internally machined for further weight reduction. Premium quality CrMo steel bolts are used throughout, but in a smaller T-20 Torx size that shaves a few more grams with no sacrifice in strength or rigidity. The resulting CEN-approved stem is 20 grams lighter and even stiffer than our already stiff and lightweight 4-Axis.

  • Material: 3D forged and internally machined 7050 alloy body
  • 4 x T-20 faceplate bolts and patented 260 degree bar clamp design reduces weight, increases stiffness and distributes stress more evenly
  • 3 x T-20 steer tube bolts and curved clamp slot reduces weight and steer tube stress
  • 5Nm torque max on all hardware
  • 30% stiffer than Ritchey’s legendary WCS 4Axis and 20 grams lighter
  • Angle: 84/6 degree
  • Steerer: 1 1/8"
  • Clamp Size: 31.8mm
  • Weight: 103g (100mm)
Stewartino Beautifully manufactured item, slim looking design and obviously very light in your hands; will compliment your road bike nicely.
Mr Wittcop It's light, stiff, and it works. It is a stem, so there isn't to much more to say about it. Due to the way the clamp works, it will not work with many aero bars. Otherwise a solid stem.
Mr Furman Super light and matches the finish of the WCS carbon bars perfectly, Very easy to fit with MTB bars.
Mike Great! I already had this stem, but needed a different size. Since the face doesn't open a full 180-degrees, you do need to move the bars to a smaller spot to swap them in/out - this is a minor annoyance, just had to unwrap about an inch of the bar tape to get there. Build quality is excellent, and have no doubts about durability.
NC - USA Cyclist Best stem you can get for this price range. Best alloy stem in general. Lighter than most carbon fiber stems. Still stiff as well.
İMACA Great! Too light and perfect designed stem.
Mr Paulley A real change for me. This is a lot shorter than I normally use, very light, excellent method for fitment ensuring that if bolts were to fail the bars cannot fall out. Stem is stiffer than expected. Very high standard of finish
akgül One of the lightest stems in the world . It feels nice and solid, classic Ritchey product, don`t look for another one.
Oba Great product. One of the lightest aluminium stems available, very good quality. Current model has torx bolts which is improvement to previous hex bolts. Installation requires some fiddling due to 260 degree clamp, but isn't a big problem.
Mr Ng Very Light weight but solid. Value is very good compare to others. However, 260 made it difficult to mount. I have to remove bar tape to facilitate the installation.
Mr Hudson Amazing lightness for an alloy stem, strong, stiff and nicely finished.
Mr Machioli Excellent, rigid and very light I recommend without hesitating
Mr Kelly Best stem out there. Bar none. Lighter and stiffer than any other stem I have ever owned, and I have owned carbon stems by some of the other big players. The gloss black is glassy and wet to look at, and the forging and milling of this item is just superb. One thing to note, if you buy this you need to use a torq key, like the Ritchey Torque Key with Torq fitting. If you don't have the right tool, don't try and use an alan key, you'll only damage the bolt heads as they are very small. Stack height is a little more than some other stems, but that's fine as it just adds a little more grip on the steerer. I won't keep raving on about it, just add it to your basket right now, click checkout and wait for the mailman. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it. Postage is always fast from Merlin too so you know you'll have it lickedy split.
