Schwalbe Nobby Nic Snakeskin Folding MTB Tyre - 27.5+

The Nobby Nic is our most versatile tyre and Schwalbes most popular because it offers an optimum in grip and performance. With Nobby Nic, we adapted the profile dimension to the larger tyre width, which means that the studs have also increased in size and grip level.

The Simple effect of the bigger 3” tyre volume allows the rider to run significant lower air pressure improving grip, comfort and suspension. The allows the Nobby Nic PLUS to roll better over rough trails.

Mr Fourie Good for riding in mixed terrain of mud, sand some hard pack.
Lee Only ridden once but mounted on my 27.5 50mm rims really comfortable and confidence inspiring on the front. Great price from Merlin!
Mtn Biking Hooligan Has great grip. I was clawing up things I have never cleared before on technical climbs (with a worn version of this tire). They will wear out quickly if you are on abrasive dirt or pavement, but are otherwise fantastic. Very difficult to install/remove however!
Bnks Bought these tires because I wanted something a little more aggressive and these were worth every penny! Great grip in the mud and great braking and turning. Definitely would recommend to friends. Super fast shipping too!
Brent Excellent price for a top of the line product. Free Shipping from across the pond was unbelievable. The Nobby Nic tire works perfectly. Light and fast rolling, the spacing of the knobs works great in mud an snow, giving great traction while not loading up.
Satoru It was very easy tubeless installation. It rides great for what I use it for (normal trail riding).
Mr Garcia Instant traction compared to the Specialized Ground Control.
Mr Cuthbert Absolutely brilliant tyre with brilliant grip off road in wet conditions. It also rolls fast on the road.
nguyen They are replacing some 2.8 WTB trailblazers on a 29er conversion to 27.5+. There is limited width room available on the frame/fork so the 2.8 size is greatly appreciated. On a 45mm rim they are pretty true to size. went on tubeless without much fuss, but I have a compressor so that's maybe not saying much. A couple of rides so far and they feel worlds better than the super square profiled trailblazers they replaced. Haven't ridden them enough to give more detailed of a review yet so 4 stars for now.
Wilson Great tire. I have three others. Wear well compared to other schwalbe tires I`ve owned.
Brough Lightning fast if run at both ends - but front does get real sketchy when pushed hard. Best on the back.
Mac The Schwalbe Nobby Nic is a great tire to replace what is stock on a 2017 Trek Fuel EX Plus. After switching out the front, it made a world of difference when gripping the trail. Because I was going too fast around a blind curve and the trail had washed-out since the last time I rode it, the tire saved me on that section that you wouldnt want to fall because there are rattlesnakes in the area. I doubt the old stock tires would have kept me on my bike. Also, Merlin shipped the package out to California relatively fast. Hope this information helps your purchasing decision.
Mr Sheflo I bought these tires for the rocky terrain, hard pack that I ride in northern MN. The Nobby Nic snakeskin holds up excellent in the sharp rocks. These are great handling, cornering tires.. M.S. northern M.N.
Wright Large volume and nice rounded profile. Grip is superb over conventional 2.3 / 2.4 tyres when run at 15-20psi. They are a little draggy on road and very hardpack but roll faster on most other surfaces. I've only used on rock, root and harpack in dry and 'splashy wet' conditions where the tyre has performed brilliantly but I suspect it won't do very well in slop and sticky mud. Carcass roll is acceptable on 38mm rims but a bit borderline at 15psi...
Scottyscreaming Super grippy and awesome. Way better of a front tire than the rocket ron I had.
