Schwalbe Thunder Burt Evolution RaceGuard PaceStar Folding Tyre - 26"

Lightning fast with Thunder Burt. The tyre development goal was to combine the best of Racing Ralph and Furious Fred. At around 440g, the weight is almost exactly in the middle. With its many small lugs Thunder Burt is close on the heels of Racing Ralph regarding grip and in terms of rolling resistance it’s even better than Furious Fred.

General information about our shipping
I usually ride/race with Racing Ralph Evos, but thought I'd give one of these a go on the back. I've only had a couple of rides on it on trails that are mostly hardpack / light-to-moderate loose fine gravel / stones. The TBs noticeably spin up fast and roll VERY well, and for the minimal tread pattern are amazingly sure-footed when attacking a corner - just a little loose-feeling transitioning to the edge knobs at mid lean (compared to the Racing Ralph). If it's anything like the RR, the Burt should last well. All in all, I am VERY impressed with its performance and won't put anything else on the rear again. Merlin's price / performance is, as usual, exemplary. P.S. I run tubeless with Stan's No-Tubes and I was overjoyed when I could pump this up with a floor pump, instead of travelling to garage to use their compressor. TIP: To get a good shape to the tyre to ease inflation, put it on a spare wheel with an inner tube and leaving it inflated overnight. Cheers :)
