Quick free delivery service - not like some I could mention that take well over a week. I am a normal shoe size 9 and the large choice in these Sealskinz socks are a good comfortable fit. I haven't worn them as yet, so can't comment on performance. I have however bought them to replace a shorter version that have lasted me through eight years of commuting - so I have high expectations!
This is my 3rd pair of sealskinz & they never fail to impress. I went for the long version as I was off to Afan for a weekends riding & would be wearing knee pads & shorts. The socks stayed up all day on the Saturday & kept my feet dry. The fit is very good I'm 6ft 4 with size 12 feet & they came up to my knees.
As usual excellent service from Merlin ordered on Sunday afternoon & delivered on Tuesday.
Excellent product, warm down to 0 degress and they reach up to the lower knee and stay up due to the thickness and design. Wouldn't say they are fully waterproof but they do a good job of repelling water splashes from puddles. Only time I got soaked was when I went through a very large puddle that completely covered my shoes and socks.
Received swiftly from Merlin. Size Medium fits comfortably my size 8 1/2 feet. Only worn once but very comfy and kept my feet dry from puddles (though it was not actually raining for that ride). I have the thin ankle high version already and always kept my feet dry unless splashing allowed water to run down my leg in to the top of the sock. I hope the length of these will prevent that! It was 3 degrees C for the recent ride with these and I did get cold feet when standing around for any period of time, which surprised me (hence only 4 stars) - but when riding it was warm enough.
Quality socks keep you dry and are warm. Very good for the winter to keep you comfortable.
