Clare Never thought I would enjoy wearing knee length socks but these are so comfy and keep me toasty. Also provide some shin protection from brambles etc. I will definitely buy the cold weather ones if these prove to be not quite warm enough in winter. Perfect for autumn though.
ST These came up longer than I expected but having used them on a cold damp ride they kept both feet and legs (from the knee down) warm and dry. They are not too stiff as some waterproof socks can be. All in all a winner and I would recommend if you are after waterproof socks of decent length.
Mr turner I ride with flats that aren't waterproof and need something to keep my feet warm and dry over winter. I own a pair of the same socks in mid, and whilst they are great, eventually water gets in by running down your legs. Wore the knee length version to Bike Park Wales on a torrential day. They kept my feet warm and dry for the morning, but eventually water did get in in the afternoon, though it was held within the sock like a wet-suit, so my feet remained warm. would definitely recommend for UK winter and riding with flat shoes. (also, IME, as you can't really buy a pair of waterproof flat shoes, go for something that drys easily - I have a pair of well supported/padded trainers, but they take 5+ days to dry, so bought another pair that are great + dry in under a day).
Kiril Comfy, warm, tempting to wear off the bike
Mrs Williams Great item. Fits well and keeps feet dry.
Mr Stevens This is the second pair of socks that I have purchased as the first ones have succumed to not being 100 % waterproof after 7 years of much play
Mel Bloody good socks, comfortable, supports the calf muscle and protects from flying rocks and stinging nettles
Brian Used these for the first time at Bike Park Wales for five hours in the pouring rain. Feet were kept warm and dry. Shoes were saturated through - so these Sealskinz really work well. Furthermore, the length of them means you can tuck them under the bottom of your knee guards, which means the lower part of your leg is completely covered and as the material is quite thick, this adds a bit of protection for your shins. After rinsing off the mud they went through a 40deg wash - with all my other kit. The Sealskinz came out looking fine but did take a couple of days to completely dry out in the airing cupboard. As long as they last and keep the water out for a few years they will prove to be an excellent buy . Even so, they are already well worth the money. Buy them - you wont be disappointed.
Mr Decena Not only a sock, it also protects the shin from flying rocks. But not suitable for hot sunny season
Bez23 I wear these socks ALL the time. Even in the middle of summer. They've just become part of my standard cycling gear, I love them to bits. They're also the best socks for wearing with proper walking boots, as they don't budge once they're on your legs. Slight compression gives a feeling of security and comfort, water-resistant is enough, although don't get crazy and think they're the sock equivalent of a pair of wellies. Can't praise them enough. For anyone worried that the new design diminishes these socks in any way: fear not. They're even better. The top elasticated bit is even more comfortable, and the chevron design helps to guide your foot into them with accuracy. Did I mention that I love these socks? Well I do. I LOVE them.
David My 3rd pair, great socks and the knee high is great for winter.
Robin Great product, does what it is made for, best for the wet winter days.
Mr Tambini Great socks for boggy and wet winter conditions. They fit around the calf nicely and don't roll down so stay in place during the ride. Highly recommend them.
