Hydrostop Usage Guide
SealSkinz Hydrostop technology creates a seal between the sock cuff and skin, helping to reduce the amount of water from running down the leg and into the sock. Due to this close bond between sock cuff and skin, we recommend that Hydrostop socks are only used outdoors and not for a prolonged period of time. Incorrect or prolonged use can result in excessive rubbing against the skin and may in a very small minority of cases cause minor skin irritation. The Hydrostop seal material has been fully tested to EN ISO 10993-5: 2009 and is OEKOTEX compliant.
Mr Paul Compton Pdphotography i have tried these out, and so far very nice, dry and comfy, so yes if you`re not sure I would say do it and buy some
Shelerek Perfect for winter mtb
J Scott Way thicker than I expected, cannot use them for cycling. Probably for hiking
Mr Brunt Completed a 3 hour ride in torrential rain with these. Eventually water got in but still comfortably warm.
Anya Dry and warm feet at last. Very pleased. Not being used to European or US sizing, I used the cm measure, in which regard I would consider a size larger if you are within 1-2 cm of the next size unless you like a really snug fit or have close-fitting shoes (I find a bit too tight but my existing trail shoes might not have accommodated a larger size as the sealskinz are slightly thicker than socks).
Mrs Mudd This was part of a birthday gift for my stepson, delivery was speedy, he had wanted a pair of these socks for a while but because of the price he delayed buying them so he was really pleased when he unwrapped them, he explained exactly what they do and why and he said they are brilliant .
Stu Paul Comfortable and warm. Keep your feet dry. Recommend this product.
Guy Great fit, good length to wear and not too thin. They even have arrows to show you which direction to put your feet in ;-) The grippers at the top stop the socks sliding down but become a pain when your tired after a ride and want the off quick. Great price on offer
Sayed If you like thick socks. Nice and comfortable.
Mr Barrett Waterprooof and breathable. Love the new colour schemes that are avaviable. As long as you following the washing and drying instuctions you wont have any issues with this product. Best waterproof socks on the market.
Hadrian Sealskins socks may not be the cheapest of accessories but they more than make up for this in their quality and comfort. I use Sealskinz socks almost daily for commuting to work in all kinds of weather and even when my shoes have leaked, my feet have stayed perfectly dry, thanks to the brilliant waterproofing. The only negative thing I could say is they do take a while to dry out after washing. Cant recommend them (& Merlins customer service) highly enough otherwise! They were a steal in the sale too ÿ
martin This is the second pair of these socks I own. I bought them to replace my previous sealskinz which had worn out. What do I like about them 1, They have Merino in their make so they're toastie warm. 2, The Hydrostop feature really works, preventing water to pour in over the top. 3, The mid length is ideal for keeping the worst of the weather out. 4, The fit is really good & at Merlin's fantastic price delivery structure what's not like.
Ms Penlington Lovely and warm. Good moisture stop seal - Waterproof.
Declan They do exactly what they say on the tin. I've veen on a few rides now with them in the wet, bursting through puddles on the trails expecting that wave of water to come through to my feet but it never does. Worth the money.
