I replaced my 2011 3x9 Deore groupset with this. If you're hesitating because you prefer to upgrade rather than just replace what you have, you should know that if your current Deore setup is more than a few years old, this WILL be an upgrade. Snappier shifting, far easier lever action, and every component is a bit lighter than its predecessor.
One caveat: make sure you have the clearance for the top swing front derailleur. It needs ~15mm behind the seat tube. (I ordered a bottom swing FD separately, and it went on without a hitch, and I'm still 100% happy I bought this group.)
Setup was a snap. Mounting everything (FD aside) went like clockwork. Setting the front shifter lever from 2x to 3x was dead simple. (Shift to middle setting, flip the switch on the bottom of the shifter, then connect the FD.) Cables and housing were all sufficient.
Reliable shifting, tough and straightforward to fit.
Good quality kit at a good price. Quite difficult to set up for an amateur, but the instructions supplied with the components are not good enough unless you already know what to do; so with help from 'tinternet all good in the end, and faultless performance on first long ride. Very pleased

Brilliant kit. Looks tidy and works perfectly. Deore has moved onwards and upwards a lot in the last few years, this is streets ahead of the deore kit on my 2011 saracen zen. There really is no reason to buy higher end kit, this all works and looks brilliantly. 10/10.
Excellent value groupset, easy to set up and runs faultlessly.
Great quality for the price. Upgraded my old 15yr old bike into a completely new monster, and cycling is really fun fun fun with flawless parts!

For the price I've paid, very happy with groupset. I just wished the cranks were 170mm instead of 175mm, but for the rest all good. They worth it. So far I did around 120 miles and no problems. Very good mid range product. I would suggest them for the upgrade. You can easy achieve high speed with them.
I upgraded from a pretty tired 3x8 groupset and wow this one is in a different league entirely. Even if my previous one had been brand new this would still be head and shoulders above it.
The crank is so stiff in comparison and it makes the old one feel like an automatic slush box sapping all the power away and this one feels so much more responsive and like no power is lost through the transmission.
I was considering selling my old bike for cheap and buying a new one but I though I'd try upgrading it instead and it was a good choice. The changes are seamless and very quick, you can just fire up and down the gears to your hearts content.
The groupset itself comes with everything you need including a bottom bracket with spacers and a full cable kit with the outers. If you want, you can drill through the cable guides and convert your cables to be concealed through the frame so they don't get muddy and affect the shifting.
To top it all of it was a great price and the delivery was spot on with texts etc saying when to expect the parcel.
