Mr berryPedals are super light and have very little float compared to my older shimano pedals, was going to go with Ultegra pedals but I'm glad I spent the extra few dollars for these awesome pedals.
TThis is my first pair of SPD-SL pedals. These are a lot lighter than my SPD pedals from Shimano (PD-A530) (248g vs. 383g). I believe additional $50 from PD6800 (Ultegra 260g) is worth considering since I do not change pedals so often. The box includes a pair of Blue cleats from Shimano.
LewisLove the pedals...not so sure about the blue cleats. I personally like the float from the yellow cleats
DarrenBeen using dura ace pedals for years. Can't fault them in any way
David J. SeymourThese are great pedals and with the 1 degree of float you just need to dial them in perfectly. There are some good youtube videos for proper foot angle, so do that and you'll be set. Merlin did a great job, US delivery was not so good. For some reason they seem to get held up in Los Angleles. That's not Merlin's fault, and the price was unbeatable.
Mr NicellExcellent pedals. As a long time user of Dura Ace they have the typically solid feeling when clicking in and out and even better over the old version with the significant weight reduction.
Miss SpurlockThese pedals are phenomenal and so light ! My husband is ordering a pair he likes mine so much!
mthiiI could have extra +1mm Q-Factor compared to my previous Shimano's PD-A600. I could adjust my cleat with this Wide Q-F and narrow shape SL shoes without hitting my heel at the chain stay.
Mr LevinsExcellent pedals and the price is right! I switched from the Look KEO blades They broke on me twice. Those pedals do not swing into the ready position when you want to click in, a real pain, the Shimano's do! what a pleasure! sturdy build and large pedal platform.
Mr PICKERINGExcellent pedals! Lighter and stronger than the previous 7800 version I was using.
Mr SmithI have used Time iclic for past 3 years and wore through many cleats. The SPD-SL pedals and cleats are of better quality. I am still getting use to getting clicked in but I am very happy so far.
Mr TonyYou can feel the difference right away, from the standard pedal. It helps my blood flow to my legs and help numbness to go away. So far its working pretty good for me...thx for a fast shipping.
Mr RodriguezGreat pedals, run super smoothly and the looks don't hurt either
Mr kindredI was looking for a quality wide platform pedal and these are best in class. I have ridden Look for more than 10 years, so I was a little hesitant about switching but I am glad I did. I only have about 100 miles on them but so far they are silky smooth and no creaks.
DFExcellent Pedals - switched from Time RSX pedals (long time user). Dura Ace are a great pedal and more solid than RSX. Float with Yellow cleats feels similar to me, so great change. Also have a set of Ultegra Pedals - very good also. Dura Ace is a little smoother but more $$$
PhilBI started on Shimano pedals years ago and finally came back to them. Bearings are awesome. Platform is solid. Weight is good. Overall, excellent.
C. CundiffWas hesitant to give up my aluminum body War Horses, but these composite pedals are super light and tough enough for the most technical crits!
HershLight, solid feel, well engineered with superb bearings, very positive engagement
Mr lesterFantastic pedals lots of foot width and very light.
HasNoCarReasonably light, and doesn't develop the spindle creak that Ultegra has.
Mr warrenThese are super smooth. Only a bit lighter than the Ultegra, but the bearings feel sooooo much better
Anibal Saunders JrThis is a replacement for a cosmetically worn out pair (Shimano PD 7810 model) they are still working flawlessly with 60 thousand miles. I am sure that this new model will perform as well as my old ones.
NACPNETop quality functionality from Shimano. After trying various different pedal manufacturers and experienced lots of reliability issues, the Shimano Dura Ace 9000 pedals might be a little heavier but they are very reliable and offer a great pedal platform
Mr SingerThese are beautiful pedals. Very solid feeling underfoot and crisp entry/exit.
Mr HenryVery good pedals! They come with the blue cleats which are really good as well (I came from the yellow - I have tried the red but were too restrictive for me)
Mr JonesGreat pedals. Easy entry and exit. Smooooth bearings, very happy with purchase. A little pricey but not so bad relatively speaking.
Allen GrayConfident clip action on these, even simpler to get in and out than the #105 pedals that these replace. I'm able to step right in faster instead of hunting around for the right orientation.
Mr GalvezExcellent, light, very good cleat support
JR WallaceAwesome pedals, so glad I pulled the trigger to spend the extra for Dura Ace. I appreciate the larger platform because it has much better power transfer.
Mr KGreat pedals. Love how firm they clip in place. I needed the +4mm spindles because they allow my knees to relax a bit. Feels very solid compared to the look pedals that I used to ride. Not supposed to comment on service, but it was quick and amazing service to the US. Think it arrived in just over a week. Pretty awesome
HC StudstrupDetail with class. Having used several cheaper pedals including various Shimano, it is obvious that I now have the very best. Look and feel are simply much better. The chance to get my feet just a little further away from the crank arms by choosing 4mm extra length was another incentive for getting Dura Ace - my shoe covers were torn from touching the crank arms when pedalling. Finally the price at Merlin was the last push...could not resist it.
Mr shreeveThe Shimano Dura Ace 9000 SPD-SL pedals I purchased are a must for any discerning cyclist. Easy to fit and adjust, very light weight, and very smart looking. I have cycled several hundred miles in a mixture of weather conditions since fitting then, and they have performed superbly. Clipping in is so easy due to the large foot plate area, even when pedals and cleats are wet. Thouroughly recommend this product.
Mr LoganExcellent pedals with a large area to put down the power, tricky at first to clip in and out as the pedal rotates backwards and points the tips vertical but after a few runs you get the hang of it. Feet feel well supported and secure and with your choice of cleat ( supplied with blue ) very comfortable. Fantastic price from Merlin once again.
Mr ForceNice new pedals. These are a few grams lighter than my old Dura Ace pedals and the platform is a little bit wider.
Mr SmallLove shimano pedals. Never have to worry about engagement issues. Reliable and easy to adjust.
LeoExcellent pedals!!! I upgraded from 105s to these and there is a big difference in weight and feel. Worth the price tag.
Alby LI've done about 200km since I got the pedals. I find them a lot better for me as I'm wide in the pelvis area so the extra 4mm makes a big difference. I haven't used the blue cleats that came with the pedals as I have to have more float than 2 degrees so I still use the yellow cleats. The minimum tension on the adjustment is still very tight I don't think I'd get my foot out if I had anymore tension so beware if you adjust to maximum. I don't think they are bigger than my old 105 pedals but it seems that the platform is more supportive. All round very happy with them and a great price once again from Merlin.
Mr Siu KeiThe Dura Ace pedals are solid, the cleats work very well, are easy to walk on, and last a long time. And (like Look) the parts are usually available in bike shops globally."
Mr BradleyPedals are as expected very light and offer a good platform
Mr TravisFantastic Value at Merlin once again. Cheapest I found on the net, anywhere. No exceptions. Came complete in original box, which sometimes isn't the case with Merlin's stuff to keep costs down. Pedals themselves are extremely light and look amazing against the rest of the DA groupset and my bikes bare carbon frame. Stiff too and came with the blue cleats. 2deg of float. Coming from yellow cleats with 6deg of float, I feel a lot more connected to the pedals with the feeling of less wasted energy. Buy some :)
Bob BurrierI'm really enjoying these pedals. Very smooth and a nice crisp clip and release mechanism. Also very little heel float. Easy to install and attachment of the shoe cleats was simple. It took me very little time to get accustomed to clipping in quickly.
Tony DekuyerThese pedals are fantastic a perfect match to the group-set!
Mr May-WestThese are sweet!!!
Mr sethiBeautiful pedals to compliment the rest of my new ride. They ae lighter and o look the part, to be honest though performance wise not a noticeable difference for a substantial premium.
Mr BanksThought id treat myself with these to go on my new Feather 953. Top quality pedals.
Mr BezzinaGreat pedals - light weight and I like the way that they tilt down when you take your foot out which allows you to re-engage the cleat easily.
Privateer29Amazing!! I am a big guy and jump regularly from MTB to Road bike. The extra 'Q' factor of the 4mm longer axle is noticeable and makes the jump to the MTB smaller. As always the cleat engagement is positive and easy to achieve. The release is firmer than the engagement which is the way you want it. Super light and fantastic looking shimano pedals
Mr MansfieldHaving just overhauled my bike from dura ace 7700 to 9000, it was much to my delight to have found that dura ace now caters for taller riders. Along with the 180mm crankset they also have the 4mm extra long pedal axel. I'm much more comfortable on my bike and dare I say it, even more competitive. Service from Merlin perfect as always, I've waited for the 9000 brake and gear shift cable sets and Merlin are the first online supplier to stock them. Not only the cheapest but the first to supply new items, thankyou Merlin. The 9000 pedals are light and feel secure even through high power strokes. They look menacing as does the rest of the 9000 gruppo.
James TaplinGreat pedals, smooth to exit out of in a hurry if required. Also can get into them with ease. Look great and so light! Highly reccommended
Mr mattisonThank you Merlin cycles for your prompt response for activating my order for my shimano pedals, I received them in perfect shape and the envolope they were shipped in didn't even have a tear in it, not bad for being shipped over sea's all the way to Idaho, looking forward to placing more orders with Merlin's.
Mr ParsonsHave used a few different pedal systems over the last four years, TIME, LOOK and Speedplay. The Dura ace pedals are outstanding, easy entry and exit a great solid connection between the cleat and pedal and the large contact area feels rock solid with great power transfer.
