Sizing Information for Shimano Shoes
Sandy Excellent shoes. Fit very nicely. My feet are on the wide side and there is plenty of room but still a secure fit. Single boa fastener seems enough for me. Lovely stiff soleplate, immediately noticed an improvement over my old shoes (admittedly very old!). Would recommend
martin Couldn’t believe that I stumbled across the right size in the blue colour way. Worn on 1 ride so far and mightily impressed, great value !
Mr Gannarelli Fits me really well. I've tried several other shoes from different manufacturers, but I keep coming back to Shimano. In normal footwear I am an EU 44, with these I sized up to a 45 and they fit just fine. I have slightly wider than average feet, and the extra volume in the toe suits me well. I would say that it would be nice to have a second Boa to snug up the front. I don't think that is too muck to ask for at the full price. They are really light and pretty stiff. With cleats, my 45s come in at 289g each. At the Merlin discounted price, these represent really good value for money. Top shoe!
Mr Clement Great shoes, lightweight, stiff, nice fit
Mr Rodriguez I am a US size 10.5 wide and ordered these shoes in a 45. I was worried when I got them out of the box because they looked like ballet slippers. Fortunately they fit great and like my first pair of Shimanos, they are very accommodating for a wide foot. RP9 comes with an extra pair of sole inserts if you require more arch support which is very thoughtful and appreciated. Shoes are light, stiff, easy to put on and take off and proven very comfortable for me on a half century so far. Merlin has the best price on these of anywhere in the world it seems, they had my size, I even like the color, it was a deal. Turnaround from Manchester to Los Angeles was three days, simply incredible all around.
Mr Cliffe Wow, great shoe, great deal, comfy and light. Shaving seconds off strava.
Mr Woods Really comfy light weight shoe
Ekin gone with 1 size higher as suggested but It is tad big for me, I think using a higher insole will fix the issue. Other than that, very robust and wide enough to feel comfort too!
jason This is my first Carbon shoe and the difference compared to fiberglass is clear. Climbing in these is particularly rewarding. Sizing was spot on. The hold the foot securely but the toe box is plenty roomy for wider feet. All round a great shoe.
Christopher Great shoes, great price. These come in a wide fitting, and feel sweet on the feet.
Mr Jackson Switched to the Wide version, after becoming uncomfortable in previous shoes; Sizing is as per the Shimano Size for length (42), but as well as being wider fitting, shimano also increases the volume by 5% or so. The RP901 still has a narrow heel which suits my feet well, all in an excellent, comfortable & stiff shoe - very light as well
Mr Hansen Have had problems with other shoes because cycling shoes are so narrow. Not so with this model. I took the wide version and it simply fit like a glove with the high arch pads. Very nice to ride a bike without having feet pain! The shoes looks very nice too.
Alastair Stedman At first I wasn't 100% sure about these shoes. I tried on some Shimano Rc7's in 45. They fitted perfectly. But the Rp9 in 45 was a bit bigger than the Rc7. Toe box is also very voluminous. As someone with very high arches I also found Shimano's included arch support to be inadequate. However! Not all hope is lost! Once I added some level 3 (green) specialized BG insoles, I was infinitely more comfortable in these shoes! These shoes are amazing! Stiffness is great and so is the comfort! However I would advise that if you have high arches I would recommend you get the correct hight insoles!
