Mr Smart I was very pleased with this chain set, Tiagra is a good range and this is no exception. Solid but well designed and good looking on the bike. Bought to replace an identical chain set that has done good service on my work/winter bike.
Mr C My old chainset had done 5000 miles. Time for a new one... This new one was a perfect replacement and I got it at a great price from Merlin. Cheers guys!
Zbynek Vyskovsky Bought to replace my old square taper crankset, seems much more stable and less creaky.
Mr Rogers I replaced a beat-up Shimano 105 chainset with this one. It is a bit heavier but looks beautiful. It is quiet and shifts wonderfully.
Mr Cuthbert Excellent chainset. Great chain retention and relatively lightweight at this exceptional price point. Represents great value for money. Very smooth running with very crisp and precise changes. A very good-looking piece of kit it is too!
Hamilton Upgrade part for my winter bike, replaced an old tiagra chainset. The new model is really nice, it’s dark grey colour and sleek design make it look much more expensive than the cheap price I got it for from Merlin. Being Shimano groupset shifts really well
Zachary All you need for an update or upgrade. 4 bolt design mimics Shimano's new higher end offerings, so chainring availability will be good. Well packed from Merlin.
Mr Ami My wife's bike came with the Shimano 4600 groupset. I purchased this while upgrading to the Shimano 4700 goupset when the 4600 started skipping when shifting. This is a huge upgrade over what the bike came with. Shimano has done a great job with this groupset filtering the technology down from the Ultegra I own on my other bikes. Way to go Shimano for coming out with an affordable groupset for recreational riders that works fantastic.
Tony Amazing value for a good looking quality 10-speed crankset. Shimano have done a good job with the new Tiagra design. It's only a little heavier than my old worn out Ultegra crankset .
Roe Bought to replace a worn Gossamer Pro chainset on my Whyte Suffolk.. The Tiagra chainset represents good value for money and performs just as well as the chainset it replaced. I prefer the design too.
Mr Wilcox For the price it's a smart looking, super stiff compact which will obviously weigh a fair bit more for the price than higher spec compacts but this was exactly what I required and weight wasn't really an issue or shouldn't be at this price - I'm surprised how good it looks.
