Reasonable light stiff shoe without being uncomfortable. There is enough room in the toe box. I bought them as my winter commute shoes as I didn't want Goretex boots. I have used these shoes in the rain and they stand up well. Water eventually gets in from the ankles but that happens to all footwear. There are two criticism: First one is that the bottom velcro strap is far too short, it needs to be longer and the second criticism is that from a aesthetic point of view, the toe box creases up in the middle of the shoe.
