Sram Red eTap AXS 2X D1 HRD FM Centrelock Electronic Wireless Groupset - 12 Speed

With the electronic RED eTap AXS, the next revolution among shifting groups from SRAM is coming to the streets. It not only offers a higher bandwidth, but at the same time smaller gear steps compared to the previous version. What sounds absurd at first is made possible by the new X-Range transmission variants of the RED DUB crank in combination with the RED 12-speed cassette. Thanks to the 10 sprockets of the cassette, smaller chainrings are sufficient to achieve the same maximum development as with an 11 sprocket. With a wide selection of gear ratios and as a 1-speed and 2-speed version, the eTap AXS is just as versatile as the intended use of bikes with drop bars is today: the right RED eTap group can be put together from gravel bikes to time trial machines. 

 
Sram AXS Shift Brake System
With only one shift lever on each side of the handlebars and their simple shifting logic, shifting with the eTap shifters is almost impossible. The shifting process runs precisely, quickly and easily. The revised ErgoBlade carbon levers are comfortable to hold and the wide eTap shift levers cannot be missed even when wearing winter gloves. In addition, they give the driver haptic and acoustic feedback when shifting gears. For additional shifting options, 2 blip shift buttons can be connected per shifter.

HydroHC Hydraulic Road Disc (HRD) brakes
Because the shift mechanism in the brake lever is not required, the master piston could be perfectly integrated into the shift/brake lever. As a result, the hoods are smaller, fit more harmoniously into the overall picture of the bike and are even better in the hand. The contact point adjustment also ensures better ergonomics. The pressure point of the lever can be precisely adjusted using a hexagon screw without affecting the distance between the brake pads. The lever width when the brake is not actuated can also be adjusted to the size of the hand using a hexagon screw. For higher braking performance, SRAM is using a newly designed 2-piece brake caliper in the 2020 model year.

Centreline XR brake discs | Center Lock
New, optimised design with a large friction surface for more braking power and less brake fading. The newly designed aluminium spider ensures better heat dissipation and has better aerodynamic properties. The 7-point mounting of the friction ring reduces the vibrations of the disc, which also reduces noise when braking.
The rounded edges on the top of the disc minimise the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the World Cycling Union UCI. Another advantage is that they make it easier to install the wheel, because the rounded top prevents tilting in the brake caliper.

Red AXS Rear Derailleur
The eTap AXS rear derailleur ensures even faster gear changes with a revised motor and improved data transmission. The speed-dependent Orbit-Fluid vibration damping ensures safe chain guidance, even in off-road use. Enlarged jockey wheels and ceramic bearings make the drive even more efficient than the previous version. Equipped with an additional ANT+ transmitter, the rear derailleur can communicate with bike computers and information about the charge status of the battery and the current gear can be displayed. 

Red AXS Front Derailleur
The new SRAM RED eTap front derailleur has been developed for the eTap AXS group's 2x X-Range chainring gradations. Equipped with the proven SRAM Yaw technology, trimming of the front derailleur is no longer necessary. The power when shifting is automatically regulated over the entire shift range. The derailleur offers extra tire clearance for use on cyclocross and gravel bikes. 

Charger/battery
The integrated batteries in the rear derailleur and front derailleur have a range of over 1000 kilometers. The charge status can be read at any time via LED lights. The batteries for the rear derailleur and derailleur are identical and can therefore be replaced on the go. With the included charger, the batteries are recharged within an hour.
