General information about our shipping
Have used these from version 1.0 and now have 2.0 and 3.0 which I run with an Edge 800. This shorter MTB one means that the GPS sits further inboard and just above the stem face plate. This has the advantage of making it possible to get the unit flat even when the stem angle is steep. Main disadvantage of 3.0 version is that with flatter bars it makes standing the bike upside down more difficult as it protrudes even when the GPS unit is removed. For anyone running a shallow stem angle and flat bars the version 2.0 would be just as good on a MTB. 2.0 sits the GPS lower and more out front with two mounting positions so that the 800 series doesn't catch on the stem face plate. It sits below the level of the stem and so doesn't interfere with inverting the bike. Advantage of Bar Fly design is that nylon material doesn't wear away at Garmin mounting lug like alloy ones do so no rattle develops.
Much better clamp than the in box version, much more secure. Great service from Merlin, as always.
