Troy Lee Designs took the popular A1 and perfected it, resulting in the incredible A2. Overall, the A2 offers a high level of protection thanks to the reinforced shell liner and Mips technology. It has fantastic ventilation which comes from the six large pressurising intake passages and seven rear vacuum exhausts which are linked by deep internal channeling to promote efficient cooling and airflow. A combination of quick-wicking foam liner, adjustable rear stabilizer and a no-fuss fit system for perfect fit every time, this will be the go-to helmet for hitting the trails. This 2018 version sees a new improved liner and adjustable strap.

Having bought a superb KTM Macina Lycan e-bike from Merlin I was on the lookout for a new helmet and spotted this in matching black and fluoro orange, at half RRP. Buying helmets online for me is always a problem as I've a 62cm head, but the XL/XXL fits superbly with room to spare so fine for a skullcap when cold. The liner is fully adjustable and really comfortable too, and the instruction booklet tells you exactly how to set it up....TLD- found my brand I reckon (suppose they are American and they are known for huge bonces lol!), and another "gold star" for Merlin!
Nice helmet equipt with MIPS, comfortable paddings and cool looking design. Real value for your money
Nice helmet. If you liked the A1, you will love the A2. Improved air flow with an improved comfy padding system. The system on the straps has improved as well. A great trail helmet got better.
Coming from a specialized trail type helmet, this is one hell of an upgrade, bought it in a M/L for a 58cm head and it fits really well, with lots of strap adjustment & still a little adjustment to tighten, no hotter than my previous lid, more protection everywhere
I recently upgraded to this helmet from the previous version of it, the A1. My reasons for getting the new one was the pads on the old one were falling apart, and it was a bit old. Anyhow, I liked the old one so when I saw this new one had replacement pads available, I went and got one. Design wise, it is a marked improvement from the A1, in better vents, and more importantly to me, much better straps, with a nicely designed under ear plastic divider, so the straps are closer to the head as well and site much smoother.
