What a great find for a fast training wheel. They're gorgeous (though the black on the brake track will eventually wear off), not impossibly heavy, and ride extremely well. I didn't get them needing super aero performance, but there's no doubt the "trickle down" of the wider rim technology improves the ride--both speed and comfort. Can't attest to long term durability, but the first several rides have been fantastic. One note--tighter bead tires (like Continental) can be a bit of a trick to get on these; reminds me a bit of Campy rims that way. "Softer" beads (like Vittoria) go one much better.
After searching for a set of budget wheels to replace my mavic cosmic elites I was drawn to the team 35s. On unpacking I was impressed with the look of the wheels, quality look to them. Weight, although heavy, were no noticable difference to my previous wheels. Rims are wider so needed to adjust brakes. First ride out and braking surface, which is black and looks nice, was not gripping well but brake pads soon bedded in, it was a wet ride too. After ride I cleaned bike and noticed that the black had come off the breaking surface after first ride. This was a little disappointing as it looked good, but aesthetics aside, the wheels are brilliant for the money paid.
Great wheels - look the part, well made, easy to fit etc. no complaints so far.
Best value for the price. Great entry level race wheels.
All good here, nice and smooth running.
Great value for money, lightweight, stiff, great for training or racing wheels. Have done about 800km on them so far and no issues. Highly recommended
These wheels look way more expensive than what they are! They run true straight out of the box and the deep(ish) section rims looks fantastic. They feel solid on the road and the bearings are very smooth. Very impressed!
Very lightweight, runs smooth and looks amazing. I was looking for a wheelset upgrade on a budget size and this were it! Great quality for the price.
Great pair of wheels! For those who are looking for a wheel upgrade without investing a lot of money, they are super rigid, lightweight and look tough. I recommend!
Feel like I`m gliding on air. Huge upgrade from my stock wheels!
Rode these for 700 miles now and cannot be happier. Still run super smooth and have stayed perfectly true! Even with the english potholed roads they have survived and cannot believe they are still True. Rims work nicely as well brakes are nice and sharp. Only bad thing I would say is the black rim looks really first. Now its rubbed off and I have silver rims now after the brakes have rubbed of all the black. Just hurts the look, but it thats the only thing to moan about.
Wheels were delivered in a quick and proper manner. They were packaged well. Beautiful looking wheels that are stiff with bearings that roll smoothly. They're a bit on the heavy side but are nicely built and makes a great entry wheel upgrade for those not wanting to spend a ton of money on a wheelset upgrade.
I expected and they delivered. Stiff but comfortable, great rolling cadence and they look even better than I had imagined. Really nice upgrade from Bontrager.
Very happy with the 35s! My area is very windy with a lot of flats, I wanted to purchase another budget aero wheelset for my other bike. So far this wheelset suits me well. Was also surprised that my speed has increased an additional 2mph faster with the same power output, exactly like my fulcrum quattros. The wheelset makes a nice hum when putting power down and going fast. The wider rim width is a plus. I will admit that you do feel the weight of the wheel when going up steeper hills. Highly recommended if you want to go faster but are on a budget.
