Fulcrum Racing 1 Wheels 2013

These wheels are amazing!!! They were nearly 0.5kg lighter than my previous Giant wheels and they have improved my climbing dramatically. They also look great and with 30% off they were an absolute bargain. Highly recommended and excellent service from Merlin.

The wheels arrived in perfect shape, very true and exactly as advertised.
I have only had a very short ride on the wheels and so far they seem fairly bomb proof. I am a heavy rider at 112kg and push heavy gears, during the short ride I wanted to see if the spoke were settled in and if there were any "pinging" or creaking coming from the wheels, there was nothing.

Delivered in usual quick time, well, packaged in the box, first racing ride in a race last weekend over rough roads, wheels fine... then again thats what I would have expected.. so happy so far. Nice wheelset at a good price. So 5 stars for service and cost. We'll see how they go.

Bought these rims to replace my Mavic Open Pro which wore out the braking surface. These Fulcrum Racing 1 rims are lighter and I notice an improvement on hill climbing. On the flat road I can't notice any difference in speed.They feel marginally less comfortable. Look great. Still running true after about 1000km. Ratchet in the freehub is noticeably noisier when free wheeling, but not as bad as some of the older Fulcrums I have heard. Dissapointed that they don't have a wear indicator on the braking surface. Overall, very happy with them.

Better than I hoped for. Had heard a lot about Fulcrum wheels & everything I had heard was true. They roll so freely it could be scary on some descents until I get used to them.. They also look really good & improved the looks & weight of my bike. Got what I paid for & the price point was a bonus.

I love the wheels -they spin up quickly, the bike 'feels' quicker, and their rigidity means that you can actually feel the power being directed seamlessly to the wheels. I ride a Koga Carbon Team Edition, previously fitted with the in-house wheels the bike came with, and these are a great improvement - a good compromise between weight and durability. They look great too.!
