Ridley Noah Fast 3.0 Disc Frameset
The Noah Fast is the third generation within our aero bike family. Icons such as Robbie McEwen, André Greipel, and Caleb Ewan won Tour stages on its predecessors. Built upon this legacy, the Noah Fast is 8.5 watts faster than its predecessor at a speed of 50 km per hour.
The Noah Fast represents minimal aerodynamic drag, a modern geometry that allows for aggressive positioning, a new aero cockpit, and a holistic approach focused on ultimate efficiency. It is the official bike of the Uno-X Mobility men’s and women’s teams.
Progressive racing geometry
A steeper seat angle aligns with the changing preference of riders towards a position with an open hip angle for a better power transfer. A lowered bottom bracket compensates for the wider tires used in modern cycling. Finally, the lower head tube with integrated cockpit allows the rider to have a more aggressive aero position, resulting in a reduced frontal area.
Holistic approach to aerodynamics
The 3.0 Noah Fast is not merely a lightning-fast bike but a 100% "performance package" that approaches cycling from a 360-degree perspective. Every aspect of the bike is adapted to modern cycling. The cockpit dimensions and frame geometry are tailored to the expectations of professional riders. The tyre clearance of 34mm will allow even use the Noah Fast on rough terrain like Paris-Roubaix. The developers carried out all simulations with the bike as a whole. That means: including wheels, water bottles, bike computer, and all other essentials. They did these tests under difference wind angles to simulate the performance in the real world . After all, this is how riders actually use the Noah Fast.
Pushing the limits of UCI regulations
The 3.0 Noah Fast has been fully developed based on the latest UCI regulations regarding tube shapes and profiles. The main difference is the use of the 8:1 rule, which allows tubes to be eight times longer than their width, whereas previously it was 3:1. The result is long, narrow profiles in the fork and seat stays.
Tested and approved by Uno-X Mobility.
Ridley have develop their bikes in consultation with the professional cyclists of Uno-X Mobility. They provide feedback during the development process so they can further optimize their bikes. For Ridley, the quality label that the bikes are tested and approved by the professionals at the highest level is essential.
Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH)
The universal derailleur hanger (UDH) is the new standard in the cycling world. Not only is this derailleur hanger compatible with all modern shifting groups, it also protects against derailleur breakage and chain drops. In mountain biking, UDH has long been very common, and Ridley is bringing the technology to other segments as well.
Cockpit Integration
The Nimbus Aero cockpit follows the trend in the peloton towards narrower handlebars (360 centre-centre) with flared drops (400 centre-centre). The top of the handlebar has a slight back sweep for an ergonomic position. The drops of the handlebar allow a aero position of the shifters, while being UCI compliant.
The Nimbus Aero cockpit was specifically developed for this new model and was an integral part of the frame's development process
