peter Great pads much better than sintered pads in that they simply stop so much better,. Cant comment on how long thay last.
Mr George Top notch. Genuine Shimano replacement part at a great price
Kiwi MTB Rider Quiet, good modulation, wear pretty well. Good for all round trail use. Works OK on extended downhill descents. Split pin was a bit short so reused the old one.
Mr Toplis The original equipment and still the best. Last well and quiet.
Mr S.Bold I have tried various pads now, but these are my favourite for trail center / all mountain riding. They brake better and run cooler than the harder (M06) metal pads. On a recent descent of Snowdon, I had no brake fade which I used to encounter with metal pads.
Ok,so they may not last as long, but isn't it about stopping safely and enjoying the ride, rather than worrying about the state of the brakes?
Usual Shimano high quality.
Usual first class service from Merlin.
Mr Causon Great pads - don't want anything more.
Paul Keep buying these pads as I'm hesitant to put non-OEM pads on such a vital area of the bike. Seem to stop me well enough, last a decent time, and are easy to fit.
Miss douglas Great disc pads, last well.
Mr Broomhead Excelllent service great parts for bike and money.
Mr Shaw Having used these for years I tried a set of Sintered pads to get them to last a bit longer. 1 ride old... and they're in the spares box and a fresh set of resin are back on my bike.
If you're about 3 stone wet through and ride 5mph tops... get sintered, they'll last forever.
If you're built like you know your way around a pint or two, get these. They're slightly cheaper and manage heat much much better but most importantly they actually stop you when you need them too.
The best. No doubt.
Mr caldwell Once again merlin have outdone themselves. Ordered these at 3.30 on fri afternoon and they were at my door 1st thing sat morn.
Mr haston Recently fitted them to bike everything working ok no problem stopping ! good service as usual
MrBadAssB Good Pads in both wet and dry, if a little too expensive for what they really are. However Merlin cycles were the cheapest found on-line for genuine Shimano Pads. As always a speedy and reliable shipment from start to shipment from Merlin Cycles. ;-)
Muddy9mtb okay - original equipment no better than non genuine brands on ebay. Had problems with spongy back brake and this was one solution, it didn't make much difference and after a full system bleed the brakes are only marginally better. They do the job okay but now considering changing the whole setup (you learn the differences after riding more expensive bikes!)
Ms Holroyd Bought these to replace worn out pads (that came with bike when bought). Easy to put on. Bit of squeal, but don't mind as long as they stop the bike. Seem to bed in quickly also.
Fantastic fast service from Merlins also.
