The F95 offers the ride and handling of much more costly bikes at an unbeatable price. This is a proper road bike. Extremely well put together. Built to be fast and fun, topped off with a component choice that offers accuracy and durability.

This is the best starter road bike that we’ve had in for a very long time, perhaps even the best ever.

Felt’s butted 6061 aluminium frame offers an impressive level of comfort whilst still retaining a high level of responsiveness. You can ride all day on the F95 and never tire of its handling.

With its carbon blade fork and similar geometry to Felt’s F1 and FRD bikes, the F95 looks and rides like an expensive bike.

The Shimano Sora drivetrain is slick yet bombproof and in conjunction with the FSA Tempo compact chainset offers a wide gearing range capable of winching up the steepest of climbs.

The size-specific speccing of different width handlebars and different length crank arms is typical of Felt’s attention to detail and is something that really helps keep the F95 behaving consistently no matter what size the bike is.

Felt also provide the brake callipers. Sometimes own-brand callipers are poor performers but that’s not the case here. Felt’s Dual Pivot callipers are strong performers. They also come with slot-in cartridge pads which makes for easier pad replacement as well as a firmer braking feel.

The wheels will last you a very long time indeed. Felt’s own R4 hubs laced to decent Alex R500 rims. These strong hoops are worth keeping hold of even if you upgrade to a different wheelset in the future. They’re a great pair of year-round on UK-roads wheels.

The F95 is a bike you can live with and grow with.

A word about our pre-boxed bike specials.

To pass on even more savings to you this bike is supplied boxed and 90% assembled. It will require the front wheel and handlebars fiting and some fine tuning of the gears and brakes.

This is all easily done by a competent home mechanic. If you are unsure, consider going for the Felt F95 fully built option.

General information about our shipping
Amazing bike for the price. Did a fair amount of research before making my decision and am not disappointed.
I was looking for an entry level road bike at a good price, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Set up was straightforward as described and after a bit assembly and gear adjustments it was ready to ride. May change the saddle and I've changed the tyres but other wise a great starting point for the road.
Very happy, never put a bike together from boxed before and was simple to figure out. First time I had purchased a road bike and I feel like I can now adjust and fix parts if they break as I know how they work having to assemble the bike. Nice to learn the adjustments so I can set up to my requirements. Very good value for money in bundle, very happy and rides smoothly. Would recommend.
For a first road bike or a budget friendly trainer this is pretty much all you need. I am 5'11" and went for the 56cm frame. Comes in way under the cost of other similar SORA specced bikes yet the frame and wheels are of good quality and a big plus is the carbon fork. If you normally adjust your brakes and derailleur setup yourself it only takes half an hour or so to complete the final assembly and have the bike ready to go. Have only ridden it a handful of times so far but feels really good. Fork takes care of road buzz the gear changing is smooth and the brakes work like road bike brakes do, ie good enough. Has been dry so slick tyres supplied haven't been a problem. Merlin, as always very efficient with the ordering and delivery.
Fantastic bike at a great price. The Felt F95 rides and looks as if it should cost a lot more and for what would generally be considered an entry level machine it has a great spec. OK, Shimano Sora isn't the most prestigious groupset, but it is dependable and gear shifting is slick and instant. The non-branded brake calipers perform very well and an FSA chainset (albeit a budget version) has to be a bonus. Very impressed with the quality of the aluminium frame and the carbon fork minimises road buzz. Wheels, in general, seem good quality and the Felt branded hubs run very smoothly. Perhaps a little disappointed with the trueness of both wheels, but I'm just going to let the spokes bed-in for a couple of hundred kilometres and then get them sorted by a local bike shop. Only done around 100 Km's so far, but the Felt just makes you want to go and ride. Very impressed with Merlin's service and the speed of delivery. 100% recommend this bike and totally recommend Merlin.
Had the bike a month now and very happy. First Road bike so nothing much to compare against but I have no complaints. Bought the boxed version to save a few pounds. Was very easy to put together. The brakes and gears needed a bit of adjusting which is easily done - everyone should learn how to do this. I was in 2 minds to get a z series which has more relaxed geometry. I'd read a lot of reviews saying the F series geometry is more racy and beginners may find the Z more suitable. I've got long legs and a short arm span so was concerned - no need to be though, the F is brilliant and very comfy - don't be put off by what yo read on forums. Been using this for a 30mile round trip commute which I previously did on a mountain bike. It's quicker and doesn't feel like it needs as much effort. All in all I'm very happy - I've had no problems at all.
This is the first road bike I have ever bought (and put together) felt I did an average job on putting it together so took it down to my local shop for them to look over. I haven't done any long rides (longer than 10 miles) yet (unfortunately) but ride to an from work every day which is impeccably hilly where the bike really does well. Although, I feel it is a bit slow going down hill even with the toughest gear in I can't get it over 30m/h downhill. Also, after coming down from a hill and going on the flat there is not a lot of rolling time before you really have to start pushing with the peddling again. Lastly, I am not sure if it is my bike but it feels like there is something loose as it has this odd shaking sound near the front wheel. I will have to take it back to my local shop again for them to look at it. Other than that, it is a great bike. You really feel the quality in it and you get a lot for it with the price. I definitely do recommend it. I am a 170cm woman and have the 54 bike and fits me well, I do sometimes wish the front fork was closer and will probably have to change the saddle soon cause it is well narrow.
Excellent road bike for beginners and those on a limited budget. Prompt delivery and easy to assemble out of the box. So far I have ridden 200km with no problems at all. Pros- Lightweight, strong frame Comfortable ride, bumps absorbed well Easy to assemble out of the box value for money! Cons- White felt grip tape gets visibly dirty Chain scrapes against chain guard on lowest gear (this is more of an inconvenience as it makes an odd noise) Overall I am really enjoying my time with this bike and hope it lasts me many years.
My first road bike so don't have much to compare to but I have to say its great. My ride times are far faster than on my xc bike and the gear changes so smooth. Feel like I could ride for hours on this. I had a 58cm and at 6ft1 it fits perfectly.
What can I say. Brilliant bike, amazing price got the biked boxed and although not had a bike for a while now, had no problem putting it together..just put in front wheel, front brake and adjust brakes, handle bars and saddle, a bit of air in the tyres and you`re good to go. Got the black, looks great and rides well, saddle a bit hard at first but soon get used to it, and that`s without padded shorts. Gears are slick and reliable, have only good things to say about this bike and merlin cycles who delivered on time great service..have bought and will be buying again from Merlin..hurry get yours now lol
Smashing bike for cash, done 300km no problem, fitted parts, together in 20 min, bargain, well made
Fantastic bike for the price, light weight and rides beautifully. Easy to assemble in little time.
This bike is absolutely incredible value for money, lightweight, comfortable, quality appearance. I have done ~250 miles in 2 weeks and I love it. I cannot fault it!
I'm genuinely surprised with this one, it came at a low price, but it feels like a much more expensive bike. The groupset is Sora, so you know you're getting quality shifting and reliable power, the carbon fork is very forgiving, and even the tyres are quite grippy, not to mention it weighs less than 10KG! If you have the patience to put the whole thing together (and have the required tools as well, such as various allen keys, pedal spanner and screwdrivers) then this bike is a no-brainer for any beginner or even intermediate cyclist out there who wants a bargain!
Excellent value for money, will probably replace the saddle.! Easy to put together straight out of the box. I wish I had bought it at the beginning of the summer. Done 100 trouble free miles over the last week. I will need to get some different tires for winter.
Fantastic service, don't hesitate to use. My bike arrived safely as described, once assembled, which wasn't too difficult I'm totally satisfied with my bike. Superb price for the spec on the bike. Hard to find anything as an equivalent that compares.
For the price I paid this bike was a true bargain! Delivery was very quick and I had the bike after a couple of days. The bike itself once setup is top notch and im hoping to get many miles out of it.
Excellent bike, unbelievable value! Sora gearing an absolute dream very light & precise shifting. The saddle isn't great but ok. I`m 6'1 & bought a 58 same as my trek but had to swap to a 75mm stem as this came with a 110 mm which made it very stretched, seems a long top tube
It's obviously a good bike. Saving a bit of money having it delivered boxed does really need some careful thought. I had to learn a few things before I got the bike riding like it might have come out of a shop new. Such as freeing a sticking link on the chain. Using a spoke key to straighten the wheels. Setting up the gears, as they were no where near working properly at first. This is was all on top of what I thought I needed to do, such as mount the front brake, handlebars etc. Anyway, I am now pleased I went down this route as I feel I know my bike much better than is someone in a shop would have done this all for me and I just ride away. There were some frustrating moments, but now I carry only the tools I need with me to do most jobs on this bike and confident if something starts to rub or not run as it should I could quick quickly adjust things so they did. The bike it self is quite different to my previous bike, and so in the miles ahead I will adjust seat and handlebars until I think I am in the optimum riding position. But I can tell already this bike is going to start breaking my personal best times for my regular runs. I nearly went for a carbon bike, but think as my first proper road bike it would have been a bit over kill.
Fantastic bike. Smooth ride, slick gear change and it looks great - like a proper road bike not a cheap starters one. Absolutely nothing to touch this at this price!
I have bought this for my son, he is quite tall for his age and still growing, he will be 13 soon. He has an 800mm inside leg. I have set the saddle quite forward and bought an 80mm Deda 01 stem. The good news is that thanks to the sloping top tube and the 80mm stem etc it fits quite well and will allow plenty of growing space. I found the assembly quite straight forward but I am familiar with bikes and have plenty of kit. Torque figures are noted on most of the kit (I have a small Torque wrench I feel more comfortable knowing things are done up right) but I am sure most people won`t bother and will probably get away with a set of allen keys for the handlebars, front brakes, saddle and a thin jaw spanner to fit the pedals (not included). I checked all the bolts and a couple of them were not that tight so it is important to check them. the front wheel is not quite 100% true but not too bad I have a spoke key so I may correct it after a few weeks if it gets any worse. I think it is an incredibly good bike for the money. He went out on it tonight and he has come back with a big grin, result! I bought the package deal but he can't manage the SPD shoes and pedals; I thought I was taking a chance, I would have been better getting him some other pedals until he is older. I thoroughly recommend this bike but not the bundle deal for kids.
This is my first road bike, I have little to no knowledge but was recommended it by a friend with somewhat better knowledge. I had the bike built professionally by a local shop, once collected I took it out and all was fine! Even the mechanic said what a steal and great bike this is, especially for a first time bike! Pleasure to ride, seat is a bit lean, a little sore after a 12miler but fine within a couple hrs. Nothing a pair of padded shorts won't solve I'm sure. Overall great bike! For what my opinion is worth, great entry bike!
Excellent, excellent, excellent :-) Great machine very responsive the only slight criticism is that the gear change is a little clunky, but hey its Shimano Sora so its not bad either! Even comes with a bell, rather handy as I've been going much faster than before so letting the locals know your coming is essential! Got it in the sale definitely worth more than I paid!
Purchased this to get started with road riding and I'm delighted with it. Well made, looks goods and performs well. Excellent price too. Would recommend this to anyone who's looking for an entry/mid-range road bike.
Upgraded from a Carrera TDF and the difference is amazing. Noticeably lighter and so much smoother to ride. The carbon fork helps to dampen vibrations but is stiff enough to provide confidence when cornering. The mostly Sora groupset is so far faultless with clean, quick, reliable shifting. The overall look of the bike is great (matt black with green and white details) and looks a lot more expensive than it is. I recently bought an Elite Custom Race bottle cage in gloss black/green and you'd think it had been made for the frame as the colour match is so good. The riding position is a little more racy than I'm used to but is still comfortable. The only gripe is the saddle which is currently a little uncomfortable but I'm sure it'll just take a bit of getting used to as with all saddles. The drops on the handlebar are a bit too curved for my comfort but I do have large hands so I find the whole of my hands doesn't lie in contact with all of the drop, but that's easily changed or just given time to get used to. Incidentally I bought the 58cm frame and I am 6ft1 with a fairly long inside leg measurement. This suits me absolutely fine. Overall I am extremely pleased with this bike and it is an absolute bargain at the current price. Very highly recommended!
Excellent bike. Great quality and easy to assemble. Fast delivery too. Very happy with both the bike and the service.
Great looking bike - rides well too and a great value for money. Just what I'd been waiting for.
A good bike for a very good price! Easy to put together, but you will need a torque spanner.
Very pleased with the F95, especially the bargain price at Merlin. This bike will make an ideal short sprint/ winter trainer and thats why I bought it. The geometry is on the racey side so the bike make prove uncomfortable on all day epics, but thats just the opinion of an old man that can't do epics anymore! One change that will be imminent is a bigger range cassette as 25t is not enough for the hills around here. Other than that I'll let stuff wear out on this bike before I change/upgrade it.
