Bell Super 3R MIPS MTB Helmet - 2021
The best trail riding gear adapts to changing terrain. That's the idea behind the Super 3R. It's designed for the varying demands of all-mountain riding, which includes long climbs at low speeds and wide-open descents on demanding trails. The removable chin bar makes the Super 3R uniquely suited to the all-mountain experience. Basically, you get two helmets in one. For long climbs, remove the chin bar and carry it in your pack. And when it's time for more aggressive riding, you can quickly click it into place. The Float Fit system is lighter and more comfortable with a rubber overmolded dial, plus this year No-Twist Tri-Glides have been adopted for added ease of adjustment. Other features include Bell's Goggle Guide adjustable visor, a breakaway camera mount and Overbrow Ventilation. The Super 3R includes MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), which can provide an additional measure of protection in certain impacts.

Mr jeffery Really really good helmet . Chin piece off for family/trail rides and chin piece on for bikeparks. Really comfy around my head and made better with the adjuster on the back . With the chin piece on the helmet is easy to put on and off and not to tight around the face but tight enough to be secure . Chin piece is very easy to install on and off and takes a few seconds. Extremely good service from Merlin and a fantastic buy at the price . If your in the market for a helmet like this then this comes highly recommended.

Mr Gardner Great helmet, light enough, easy to take the chin guard off without taking the helmet off, offers a good level of protection even without the guard on and leaves your ears exposed so its cooler than those that don't, no its not for full on downhill but if you like pushing it down a trial then its a great buy, oh and as for Merlin Cycles, 3rd time I have brought from them and cannot fault the price or the customer service, outstanding!

Brendan 2 helmets in one. Quality article with reassuringly comfy fit. Detachable chin bar is the big attraction and is very easy to remove and reattach - although you will need to take the helmet off your head to do so. So good - actually bought a second one!

Mr Golding I bought this helmet for my son as he had tried on aTLD A2 and it was too narrow on him, I already had a super 2 and knew it fitted a bit wider but this super 3 is nicer than the super 2 by far! The removable jaw piece adds confidence on jumps or harder trails And is easily fitted and removed in less than 20 seconds! The fit and inclusion of MIPS has been updated and although you can slide it around inside, the helmet doesn’t move around whilst riding but it should help in a big crash. The helmet is lightweight, good looking, Welll ventilated, fits great with the new style adjustable cradle...... I want one now too!
Mr owen Did a bunch of research for a MTB helmet that had MIPS and a removable chin guard. For me, the 3r came out on top. Had the features and great value for money. Merlin delivery was also super fast and will definitely use them again (and have done).

Katherine Great service. I bought the helmet after a few offs that knocked my confidence. I ride trails, usually solo so wanted a bit more protection. The helmet seems much more lightweight than my downhill helmet, the clip off feature works well also. For general trail riding it’s exactly what I needed. Great price from Merlin.
Mr Moye Amazing helmet, super comfy even when in full face mode, so much so that I always wear it as a full face and it is very well ventilated, would recommend this to anyone.
Mr Smith Fits nice and snug, looks great and has good ventilation. One minor issue I’ve noticed is that the wind makes a noticeable whistle in my ear at high speed, but overall I would recommend this helmet
