Brand Focus – Frog Bikes

Frog Bikes was established in 2013 by husband and wife team, Jerry and Shelly Lawson. They had searched without success for a quality kids bike for their own two children. Recognising a gap in the market, they set about producing quality, lightweight and affordable kids bikes.

Frog Focus

Focussing on the needs of the child is where Frog started out. Rather than creating scaled down adult bikes, Frog researched the needs of young riders and designed bikes specifically for the anatomy of youngsters. From frame geometry to the size and shape of contact points and components, everything is geared towards making the child’s journey as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Business Success

The need for quality kids bikes was not solely a UK phenomenon. Frog Bikes now supply almost 2000 retailers around the world and are an exporting success story, even through recent turbulent trading conditions. Frog were awarded the Best Factory in Wales award in 2017 and the Best Factory in the UK Award a year later. They also scooped the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2018.

Royal Ride

Sales spiked in 2021 when Prince Louis was pictured riding a Frog bike on the Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account. The then three year old Prince Louis was pictured on his red Tadpole Plus balance bike. The picture gained more than 1.5 million Instagram likes.

More Kids on Bikes

Frog aim to assist a generation of healthier, active children with positive lifelong habits. To achieve this goal, they partner with like minded organisations. These are across all sectors to collectively make a change and get more kids on bikes. With this aim in mind, Frog work with schools, governments, holiday resorts and corporate organisations.
