Cut with the same minimalist and pre-shaped pattern without frontal seams as our Dottore Hybrid tights, the Gregarius Winter Bib Tights are instead constructed from a softer brushed micro-fleece fabric for a cosier, more familiar, feel without sacrificing the most advanced technologies from our winter R&D.
Winter Bib Tights
The Winter Bib Tights have been enhanced using a proprietary UF Thermo Plus fabric. This is an innovative material that has an extremely tight knit which functions much more efficiently than traditional winter tights made using conventional nylon. The exterior of the material is nylon with a DWR treatment to protect your legs and backside from rainwater and road spray. The interior of the material then uses a special hydrophobic polyester thread that insulates while also pulling moisture away from the skin.
Like all our cycling bibs and tights, the Winter Bib Tights have been body mapped and pre-shaped for the cycling position. The result means that you won’t have an overabundance of material behind the knees to bunch up and irritate you during the ride, for instance. The minimum of seams and strategically placed panels will ensure your freedom of movement without feeling pressured or restricted in the knee region while pedaling. For the saddle and the chamois interface, we are using a new proprietary pattern to improve the saddle/chamois intersection. Q36.5 innovative pattern eliminates the central seam which typically causes pressure and discomfort while on the saddle.
The new pattern replicates the contact surface of the saddle and is made with a molded fabric that adapts naturally to the different typology of saddles. To increase comfort in the pelvic zone, an anti-stress cut allows more freedom of movement and no pressure points. The chamois uses a new three-dimensional SuperMoulded-Anatomic construction that better follows the anatomy of the human body and offers augmented comfort during the ride. The foam padding has been calibrated according to the scheme of variable densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischiatic, genital and gluteal zones resulting in an extremely sophisticated tuning of its overall comfort.
The chamois uses a unique moulding technique that produces smooth variations in the thickness of the padding, markedly improving the contact with the rider’s skin. Reflective inserts have been added to the tights, but have been made from exceptionally elastic material so they will not inhibit the flexibility of the material or inhibit the pedaling action. The Winter Bib Tights are suitable for the coldest conditions, starting at 5° Celsius and going to -5° and below.
