Drivetrain System

An integral part of Shimano's 12-speed road lineup, the Ultegra R8100 chainset builds upon Shimano's legendary front shifting and transmission efficiency. With new refinements for seamless 12-speed shifting, the Ultegra crank is now offered in lengths from 160 to 175mm, bringining performance and improved fit for smaller riders, triathletes, and riders with specific biomechanic requirements.

Wireless Cockpit

Shimano's Ultegra ST-R8170 brake levers bring enhanced modulation and control to every ride by employing Shimano's proven Servo Wave technology. The all-new Di2 platform, used on both Dura-Ace and Ultegra, untethers the shifters while delivering the world's fastest, most reliable wireless shifting.

Brake System

The Ultegra R8170 disc brake caliper brings a new level of control to the road cycling world with enhanced modulation and a quicker initial braking point. Despite its smaller construction, the system is quieter than ever and easier to maintain.

Chainset: Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 with a choice of rings and crank lenghts
Disc Brakes/Gear Levers: Shimano Ultegra ST-R8170 Hydraulic disc brakes with wireless Di2 shifting.
Front Derailleur: Shimano Ultegra Di2 FD-R8150
Rear Derailleur:Shimano Ultegra Di2 RD-R8150
Cassette: Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100 (Choice Of Ratio's)
Chain: Shimano - 12 speed
Bottom Bracket: Shimano BB-R60 or Pressfit
Di2 Parts: Battery, Charging cable and two Di2 cables. The levers work wireless.
Rotors: Option to purchase Shimano rotors if required.

Grant FExcellent groupset, shipped promptly after ordering, all parts included. My receipt said it shipped with 850i and 1400i Di2 wires. The wires that arrived were 650i and 1000i, the latter of which wasn't long enough for my frame geometry. It's worth confirming what wire lengths you need and what is in the box.

Mr GoetzBest price for the complete group set available. Comes with everything you need to complete your build including the di2 tool to remove and connect the derailleurs to the battery. The import fee was more than expected and variable since I had purchased this item on two separate occasions. You do need to purchase at set of barbs for the brake hoses if you cut them Which most will. The olive is already pre installed in the brake lever. Update the shifters before you instal on the bars since the do have to be physically wired for this process only.

FrankSuper easy setup with the wireless shifters. Shifts are super fast, brakes bite really well. Shifters are a bit tiny compared to R8000 but it is easier to get leverage on the brakes from the hoods. Wish the Shimano app would work, it crashes upon open on Android.

McBykerOutrageously expensive even at Merlin's prices which were the best I could find.... but luxuriously and indulgently very, very good. The front shift in particular is incredibly fast and so much less effort than mechanical. -1* for Shimano's pricing.
