Giro Switchblade MIPS MTB Helmet
Giro Switchblade MIPS MTB Helmet
The Switchblade MIPS was created for hard-charging descents and the demands of elite enduro racing. Every detail is built for the down, from the MIPS system and multiple certifications to the P.O.V. Plus visor and Roc Loc Air DH fit system that features a bumper around the dial to prevent accidental adjustments in case your helmet contacts your backpack or neck brace. The chinbar is engineered to help manage impact energies, and is easy to install or remove in seconds. The full-cut style gives this helmet an aggressive look with an added measure of coverage, while the strategic ventilation, including Wind Tunnel ventilation channels behind the cheek pads, provides plenty of cooling power for everyday riding.

Sizing Information for Giro Helmets:
Mr McCallum Very pleased with this product, I’m a 58cm head and the medium fits perfectly. Comes well packaged, and with a carry bag. Been riding with it for a couple of weeks now and its well vented and comfortable. Definitely gives me more confidence. Chin d-ring chin strap take a little getting used to but on the upside feels very secure.
Mr Cowen I fell off at speed wearing this helmet and I'm pretty sure it has meant I've only got a broken tooth, not a broken jaw. Would highly reccomend!
Anthony Good helmet, comfortable and not too hot. Easy to remove chin piece.
Mr Horrell Perfect fit, nice and light , very happy with it , super fast delivery
Mr goldsmith One of the best converting helmets I have used snug fit. Build quality is amazing and one of the easiest chin guards to remove can even be done when wearing the helmet
peter Wanted this helmet for a while due to its versatility of being a mips open face lid and a downhill full face as well.feels very comfortable and safe when worn although it does get quite hot around the cheeks at times .price paid was by far the cheapest I could find as well
Paul hartburn Great helmet very comfortable. Comes with a spare visor and a cloth carry bag. Chin guard is easy to fit and remove with the helmet on. Double d ring fastener
colin Not used yet but on the first impressions it looks well made and pretty robust. The chin guard comes off easy enough and back on without taking the helmet off. I like the second visor included with the GoPro mount. The helmet is comfy seems well ventilated and light enough. Face section is quite airy without being exposed. Inner MIPs system works well even just testing movement by hand. Minor grumbles are it creaks a little, but that’s par for the course for a removable chin section and I am not a fan of the double d chin straps, although they are super safe which I guess matters most.
Robert Comfortable, versatile helmet, I wear all the year round, mostly without chin guard. I even wear in hot weather without issues. I like having the extra ear protection. Chin guard goes on easily and securely when needed. More expensive than the Tyrant but better made imo.
Mr Murray Excellent piece of kit, my second one, great price, fast delivery. Chinbar cracked on old lid after a face plant.
Mr Greener Excellent helmet. In particular having a chin bar you can remove and place in your pack makes it very versatile. I find it comfortable and sturdy.
Mr San Buenaventura Very light & solid helmet for MTB. I will recommend it to my friends.
Mr Kenny It's a nice bucket, pretty comfy and only took a few min's to get used to as it feels like wearing a full face without your mouth being covered. I can see it being a bit warmer than a proper open face in the summer, but if your buying this helmet, then it's protection your after anyway and your going to sweat riding Enduro regardless. Chin bar is surprisingly easy to remove and put back on and still leaves plenty of room for glasses, sunnies, goggles, etc. I should have bought it sooner
