Castelli Competizione Bib Shorts - SS24
The Castelli Competizione Bibshort incorporates many features and technologies from Castelli’s top-of-the-line pro level race shorts to provide a set of shorts that are as just at home tearing it up at summer evening races as they are at club runs and long weekend rides.
The inside of the leg is made from Affinity Pro Lycra that offers excellent stretch and rebound for comfort. Vortex BLC textured fabric is used on the side of the legs for improved aerodynamics, and the GIRO4 leg grippers hold the bottom of the bibshort in place two features lifted straight from Castelli’s pro peloton tested Free Aero Race 4 Bibshort.
Mesh straps are used to aid breathability and help the Competizione Bibshort achieve its comfort range of 15˚ – 35˚C. A Kiss Air2 seat pad provides all-day comfort with an anatomical shape, dual-density thickness for the perfect cushioning in every part of the pad, and a seamless construction to reduce abrasion. With the Competizione Bibshort the Castelli pattern engineering team have created an ideal fit for all manner of riding, building a set of comfort performance shorts that will become a favourite in your cycling wardrobe.

S.K These Castelli Competizione Bib Shorts fit well on body only issue is the Pad, it's too high at the back and low at the front so not seated comfy on the saddle also the seams made my legs itchy.

SWIGGSY Primo shorts, great fabric, fit and price. Was a little nervous about ordering Castelli with Italian fit, but followed the sizing guide (6'2, 87kg) XXL fits fine (in other brands I am usually an L).
J.Robitaille Great bib! I find that the Kiss Air chamois is more comfortable than the Progetto on my Endurance bib which tend to move around in the "pocket". The Kiss Air chamois and foam are all stiched together which make it stay into position.

Andy strap way too short. I got a large it fits like a small. No joke. I can't ride it. Don't know what to do with it cause Merlin wants me to pay for return shipping.

Gregory One of the best pair of Castelli bibs I own. In my opinion, no need to size up. I'm 5'11 183 ordered an XL while wearable L would have provided more compression as I like.
Mr McAndrew Originally bought the medium but they were just too small. The large is a much better fit and were worn for the first time on a 115km cycle. Really comfortable and compression worked well.

John Over my 35+ years of road cycling I've worn bib shorts by most of the 'big name' brands, i.e. Assos, Santini, Giordana, and of course Castelli. I can honestly say that these are the best bib shorts I've worn to date. The fit is superb, the Kiss Air pad super comfortable and they just feel great on. The leg grippers seemed a bit strange at first, but don't restrict your thighs the way other elasticated grips do. at the price Merlin retail these for they are a complete bargain. For me this is a no-brainer - just buy them!!

Tizod Great shorts. As you probably are already aware Castelli sizes come up small. I'm 6ft, 81kg and wear a size large. Even then these are snug or provide decent compression (depending on your viewpoint). Leg grippers hold very well, pad (at least for me) is great (better than the Poc I've been using), straps are a little short for me.

Mr Kaye Great pair of bib shorts. Excellent quality from Castelli. Really like the slight compression feel in the quads. Kiss 2 pad is comfortable on long rides and they are made with less seams than previous Bib shorts. So a great fit.
