Crono CX KAIROS MTB / Gravel Shoes
Whether it’s XC racing, gravel, or cyclocross, the CX1-Kairos is a lightweight performance shoe for all terrains, and we constructed it for hard riding in demanding, rugged conditions. Extremely robust with anti-tear rubber protection in the front and the TPU heel against abrasions.
The CX1 Kairos utilises a no-tongue mesh panel across the neck of the foot for maximum cooling effect, bringing thermoregulation to the highest level yet. The lightweight upper is highly breathable and durable.
The internal heel lock inserts combined with the Multi contact Closure System ensure maximum power, comfort, and pedalling precision. The CARBOCOMP sole delivers excellent grip in muddy and challenging parts of the course.
Multi-Contact Closure System
The Multi-Contact Closure System is a closure system that works in synergy, adapting to different foot shapes for optimal comfort. The upper closure distributes the tension of the shoe’s first fastening strap along two vectors: the first provides the typical containment between the ankle and the arch of the foot, while the second wraps the instep toward the heel. In this way, the foot remains perfectly supported and correctly positioned at all times.
The Power Band puts the foot in the correct position.
The Power Band is anchored directly to the sole, which creates a direct connection between the foot and the pedal. That maximizes the power transfer from the foot through the sole with less energy.
Combined with the BOA system’s flexibility, the rider can fine-tune tension throughout the ride as the foot naturally changes shape and volume, ensuring consistent performance. This minimizes elastic losses and transfers the rider’s energy exactly where it belongs: into forward motion!
The result? A more efficient ride, faster acceleration, and the pure satisfaction of knowing your effort turns directly into speed!
ICE-KEY Safety Technology
ICE-KEY is the first portable NFC emergency device equipped with NFT (passive system) that offers concrete benefits in the event of an accident or critical situation:
It securely stores personal data, essential medical information, and copies of all documents. In an emergency, it allows the rescuer to access the information simply by holding a smartphone close to the chip, without having to install any apps. It retrieves emergency contacts for immediate communication and sending text messages with GPS location.
ICE-KEY is a device that can truly make a difference in critical situations, ensuring faster, more precise, and informed emergency response.
Li2 Boa® Fit System
The Li2 BOA® Fit System integrates a coated, replaceable steel lace with a low-profile design. It allows precise micro-adjustments, even while riding, helping the shoe adapt to the foot throughout every phase of the ride. The system distributes pressure evenly, supporting comfort, control and pedalling efficiency.
MTB Carbocomp Sole
Carbon composite sole and reinforced nylon. Lightweight and responsive, it guarantees efficient power transfer without sacrificing comfort. It provides secure footing on uneven paths that require walking with a bike.
- Design for maximum discharge of dirt
- Special Grip Area
- Reinforced bearing for stud
- Increased tip to gain grip
ERGO Fit
Crono's new Ergo fit provides a wider toe box, which improves the foot hold and comfort. The extra freedom of movement is essential during long rides or in high-temperature conditions.
