Good looking pedals. Firmer attachment than the 5700s
Love them. Very good looking, light and confortable.
Switching from a platform pedal to these spd-sl cleats was the best change I've made thus far. Pedaling with cleats on makes the riding experience much more engaging. Not only does it feel like I am engaging more muscle groups but it almost makes my pedaling buttery smooth.
Only used them one time so far. Easy to install, plenty of float, locking/unlocking very crisp. Like them so far compared to the Time pedals I was using.
The pedals arrived in a timely manner and were exactly what I expected. They look and work great. They're also easy to clip into and making tension adjustments is also simple. I look forward to putting many km's on them.
Terrific pedals! Light, smooth, affordable elegance.
First: Merlin Cycles. This is my first purchase from them (but not the first I've heard of/seen them). They are always competitive in pricing - even more so with these pedals. Merlin Cycles shipped my order quickly and well packaged. The shipper managed to get it across the big pond to the USA in good time. Very well done. I won't hesitate to purchase from Merlin in the future. Second: These pedals are proving to be everything the reviews say they are: light weight (for the price); sturdy (no noticeable flex or weaknesses); and great value (especially at Merlin's price). It feels old school (in a good way) to ride with a "Full Gruppo" 105 setup. If Shimano pedals appeal to you, don't be afraid to step-up from the 550's to the 105-7000. They won't disappoint. If you get them from Merlin Cycles, you won't be spending much more anyway.
Nice budget pedal, light and Shimano pedals are easy to look after.
