Mr Richardson A good value pedal. Bushings rather than bearings mean it isn't quite as smooth as other similar designs.
Mr Zarna Amazing pedals, i have over 3 pairs
Mr Hopkins Thoroughly impressed with the quality of this pedal for the price.
Sam Campbell Decent, grippy pedals. Turn smoothly and feel secure underfoot.
Ms Struckhoff OMG! It's a five star rating for me. I'm from the US and I've been trying to work with two local New Hampshire bike shops to better understand platform pedals. Basically, I have had some health issues the last couple of years and I was not comfortable biking on my road bike with clipless pedals and shoes. I couldn't get out fast enough. I found Merlin on line and asked the question, and one of the clerks helped me identify what I was looking for. The Wellgo Platform Pedals are a dream come true and after being afraid to ride, I've been riding more. In fact, yesterday I road 12 miles! I started biking when I was very young, I've biked long and short trips including one around the Gaspe Peninsula in Canada. Now, at 66, with Merlin's help, I'm back on the road and ready to do some more conquering safely.
Mrs Kiventöyry-Tocklin The red ones suit well my bike, very good grip.
Paul These are great pedals, giving a good wide platform and excellent grip. As per some other reviews they were a little tight on the axles when taken out of the box but 2 drops of oil down the axle and one ride around the block and they were spinning freely. After around 60 miles they are spinning very freely and are very smooth to ride. They are great on the road and light tracks which I ride with the grip they give . For the price point I would fully recommend them and would certainly buy again in the future.
Mr Lockyer No frills, decent pedal. Stiff with good grip. Some removable pins too. For the price can't fault.
Stephen Pretty bog standard pedals, bought for a hack bike, not the smoothest pedal I have ever bought but no complaints given the price. They work just fine
Mr Abitbol Wide and tough. Still A1 after 1 winter
Thomas Good grip, not as good as say £40 pedals but excellent for the money, a lot cheaper than real dmr v8s, initially spin very slowly but wear in well, not a problem but come with reflectors which is not shown in the pictures
K Sturdy pedals offering great grip, took me all the way along the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Winchester in 2 days
Mr Cienfuegos It`s little heavy but good quality pedal, fast delivery and great price
Mr Siggins Just bought these as spare pedals if I want to loan out a bike to a mate as I ride spd's to replace some original DX pedals from ancient times. They'll do the job just fine. Nothing flash, bit heavy, but hey they're cheap.
Mr Ozyoldas It's a little bit heavy but solid build. Having such a good quality pedal with this price is awesome.
Roberts Strong gripy and comfy. Well-made if a bit heavy and the possibility to replace the studs just adds to the already great value.
JMM71 Excellent value pedal. Sturdy, robust, reliable. This is my 3rd pair in 10 years. Also excellent service from Merlin as usual
Bill Dunn Great, inexpensive pedal. Spins freely. Nice nobs on the pedal surface provide good grip and minimize foot slippage. Extremely tough. slammed a stump hard enough to throw me off my bike, yet nothing but a scratch to the pedals. Love them!
Mr Knatchbull I was a little sceptical as the price is so low but these are a great basic pedal
Mrs Nielsen Cheap and very functional. As a bonus the pedal is delivered with reflectors even though they are not on the pictures.
Andy They do the trick, pretty grippy and an unbeatable price really. My feet haven't slipped like they did on the useless ones which came with my bike.
CarbonCopy Bought to keep a small boy's feet on the pedals. Does the job well. He's pleased, I'm pleased. The pins give enough grip to stay attached without being so savage as to take ALL the skin off his shins when it goes pear shaped. If forced to critisise, I'd say they were a bit heavy.
Mr Hodges I bought these not to sure if they were going to be any good but there half the price of the DMR's so I thought why not. They are a little bit on the heavy size when your holding them but this is not at all noticeable when your on the bike and they are super grippy making riding trails a lot easier. I would defiantly recommend them!
Mr Jarratt Cheap and cheerful. If you don't expect much then you'll be pleasantly surprised
Mr Demler Great pedals for the price, good option for commuting
Dave Bought these for riding in the snow, rather than my existing SPD's. Perfect for what I wanted and great price. Arrived next day as usual with Merlin.
Mr Taylor Pedals give very good grip when using flat shoes, thanks to the sharp edged pins. My wife feels a lot more secure on these pedals than the bear trap design ones which came with her bike. One of my friends had a go on them and was so impressed, that he bought a pair too. They weigh in at 512g for the pair so slightly lighter than some of the other flats out there. Overall an unbeatably good value set of flats. As per usual, Merlin Cycles delivery time was excellent, and they arrived next day with another product I ordered.
Claire Excellent pedals for the money, spin freely, not too heavy and long lasting. Have bought several pairs of these now :-)
Mr Camsell very good. looks a quality product. wear the right shoes as you dont want the pedal scraping down your shin!
Mr Mawdsley Bought these pedals for the Missus, tried a cheaper alternative to the DMR's, they don't look as well finished and are a little on the heavy side but what do you expect when they are so cheap. No idea on longevity yet, only been used for a couple of weeks, no slipping on the pedals so far.
