Abus TimeShifter Time Trial Helmet
The ABUS TimeShifter delivers measurable aero benefits – for different positions, conditions and rider types.
Form follows function: the TimeShifter has been consistently developed for performance in time trials and triathlons.
The focus is on robust aerodynamics for different head and arm positions as well as racing conditions. This is based on extensive CFD analyses, wind tunnel and velodrome tests as well as validations in the professional peloton.
Development took place in close partnership with the aerodynamics specialist Swiss Side and with the involvement of WorldTour athletes.
The aim was to develop a helmet that delivers reproducible advantages not only under ideal conditions, but also in real racing situations.
The TimeShifter represents a new generation of time trial helmets: scientifically backed, developed on the basis of data and consistently transparent in performance communication.
Features
- Ponytail Fit: thanks to the opening in the height-adjustable adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids
- Forced Air Cooling: the ventilation openings are connected to each other via channels on the inside to guide incoming air through the helmet and thus ensure maximum air circulation and a pleasant head climate
- Magnetic visor: visor attached by magnets to protect the eyes from wind, rain and insects – easily removable and replaceable
- Zoom™ Spin adjustment system: rotary wheel at the back of the head for individual adjustment of the helmet to the head size
- Slide Divider™: for individual adjustment of the straps by sliding the strap divider – minimalist and functional
- Comfort Pads: soft padded inserts for optimum comfort, attached to the helmet with Velcro
- Removable, washable pads: can be removed and washed by hand or replaced if necessary
- Magnetic buckle: the straps are fitted with a high-quality, magnetic FIDLOCK buckle to enable the chin buckle to be opened with one hand, even when wearing gloves
- In-mould process: production process in which the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC) – this creates a durable and robust connection
