The Avian CR3 is a lightweight carbon wheelset engineered to deliver an impressive balance of weight, stiffness, aerodynamics and durability.
Weighing just 1220g in the 45mm configuration, the CR3 is designed to provide rapid acceleration and a responsive ride while maintaining the stiffness required for sprints, fast cornering and everyday performance riding.
The CR3 uses T1100 carbon fibre combined with Avian's customised resin system to create a lightweight yet strong rim. The rim has been tested to withstand a 110J impact and is capable of handling up to 140kg of spoke tension, giving the CR3 a strong foundation for a performance-focused wheelset.
Loop
Under traditional process, the main section of the rim is constructed of 4 piece of fibre, so it is easier for workers to handle and fasten the manufacturing speed. We use one piece of fibre instead, the integrity of carbon fibre increases rim strength but skilled and patient workers are required.
Mega-Structure
No external hole design. The continuous structure make the rim stronger and stiffer. Rim tape is not needed and thus saves another 50 grams in use.
Alpina Ultralite
Made in Italy. Same spoke of Pogi. Lightweight and stiff.
Purim
Not only paint free. Under Purim technology, the raw rim is already close to painted rim so only need to be slightly polished and thus reserves more strength and stiffness.
Ratchet System
Stable and easy to maintain by changing ratchet ring inside. Each is examined under microscope for endurance.
