Castelli Free Sanremo 2 Short Sleeve Speed Suit - SS20
Comfort and speed are two things triathletes always seek. Being aero and fast while ensuring ease across triathlon disciplines is something the Castelli Free Sanremo 2 Suit has been designed to do. The suit provides a performance edge over two-piece tri outfits while offering the same levels of comfort.
Reduced seaming along the arms and legs help cut through water while the two rear pockets lie flat and don’t catch water. The light fabrics mean the suit doesn’t hold as much water as other suits, while the snug fit and extra stretchy shoulder area improves freedom of movement when the suit is worn under a wetsuit or swimskin.
The Free Sanremo benefits from the R&D put into creating the pro-level Castelli PR Suit but is tuned for medium to high speeds making it more usable for most triathletes. The back is made from wind-tunnel tested Velocity mesh fabric that blocks 94% of UV rays. The KISS Tri seat pad provides comfort on the bike but is thin enough to cause no bother on the run.
The Castelli Sanremo front opening allows for easy on and off and comfort breaks. GIRO4 flat leg grippers keep the legs in place and prevent the shorts riding up whilst running.

Pierre-M H Another great Castelli product. The pad is really small but still provides great support while riding.
Mr O'Driscoll Really happy with the fit. The colour is also very nice, I bought the drive blue. As always with Castelli you need to buy a size up. As you would expect for a garment designed for triathlon use the padding is lighter than Castelli uses in road bib shorts, this is just something to be aware of when purchasing. Overall excellent value for money.
Richard Well made, comfortable and very keenly priced thanks to Merlin, but I'm the same size and shape that I've been for years and I'm finding Castelli's small-sized skinsuits are getting ever tighter. It's definitely not me kidding myself that I'm not really putting on weight - they seem to have changed their sizing, so bear this in mind when ordering. I can still fit into a small but a medium might make more sense from here on.
