These characteristics are achieved through a combination of proprietary fabric solutions such as the 7-dernier nylon outer face and an expert Italian hand-taped construction.
The Q36.5 Rain Shell Jacket is constructed from a 3-layer proprietary material with a high density woven outer layer to prevent wind and moisture from penetrating, while the interior layer’s hydrophobic polyamide membrane ensures a high level of breathability.
To avoid water trickling or wind penetrating down the neck, we’ve employed our hermetic collar which uses a dual material construction to ensure an airtight seal against the neck when fully zipped. The softness of the internal collar will sit snugly against the skin or a high-collared jersey, while the outer layer uses the same waterproof material as the rest of the vest to keep moisture at bay.
At the bottom and back of the Rain Shell Jacket, a dual level elastic construction helps keep the vest snug against the body without causing an unwanted feeling of constriction. The upper level of elastic keeps the vest tight against the waist while the lower level near the bottom of the vest uses grippy elastic to hold it in place. This double level solution ensures no water or wind can make its way up the rider’s backside. The water repellent zipper works with the material to prevent unwanted moisture leaking into the vest's interior.
