Pinkbike recently tested 31 different handlebars and here's their conclusion: "If you subscribe to the widely accepted theory that compliance buys you comfort, then you should buy the most compliant handlebar that fits the intended purpose. To that end, of the 31 handlebars we have measured so far, the 31.8 mm DMR O'Dub bar with a 50mm rise should be the most comfortable bar of the lot." So how does that work? The EFBE Lab has developed a series of strength and fatigue tests based on real-world data collection from hours of hard bike riding. The EFBE equipment then runs a series of tests on the same part, including overload tests. These lab-tests are designed to be a better, more relevant test for the part’s intended use, which is over and above the standard EN bicycle safety tests. Carbon seems a dangerous option when you’re clamping brakes, dropper levers and gear shifters onto it… not to mention throwing your bike in the back of a van. Handlebars are not a product I want to worry about failing and the Odub Bar fits that. "We used spiral butting on the bar to increase strength and durability without adding weight.
