Ricky Great replacement for my existing worn chain set. Great quality at a good price with the usual excellent service from merlin
Jordan No matter what Shimano component you go for, even if it isn't a part of a full groupset, it ends up being fantastic. This chainring is no exception, for a few grams more you have a 105 level crank with very discrete looks. A go to any day of the week.
Mr Taft I am really pleased with this chainset. My ultegra set was finally worn out so I had to replace it. The one I chose looks as good as the ultegra and functions as well, all be it slightly heavier. If you want a functioning chain set for a reasonable price you cant go far wrong
MHS Basically the last version of Shimano 105 re-badged! Works superbly. Fitted to a new smart trainer bike. Looks great, easy to install and I know it'll be reliable and last year's.
Martin Replaced a 105 at half the cost on my commuter. Real world weight comparison 105 = 738g and RS510 = 909g so there are some differences for your money. Perfectly good though for the cash.
pat Bought this to use on a winter training bike. As a basic Shimano chainset it is actually very nice and looks good. Obviously not as light as other more expensive chainsets, more importantly it works well and highly recommended at the price.
Joe Great value crank. A little on the heavy side when compared to 105 and ultegra, but performs just as good.
Mr Forster-Pert A cheaper alternative to the 105 chainset but works just as well. It may be a bit heavier but that's the only compromise. People who ride a semi compact or 53-39 may not like dropping down to a full compact chainset either but otherwise, all good.
Mr Soden Impressed with this it may not be as light as 105/Ultegra but it certainly feels quality. The price was the main driver though, perfect for a winter / pub bike.
George B. Beautiful looking cranks working flawlessly with the Sensah Empire Pro 2x12 groupset.
CALUM Very happy with the chain set - bought to upgrade from sora 9 sp to 11 as cheap as possible and there’s not much of a difference. Looks good, weight about the same -and a bargain at less than 50£.
Mr Simpson Great value crankset. A bit heavier than 105/Ultegra but functionally identical. Looks great with black finish and understated logos.
Mr andrychuk Exact same chainset that came with my Giant devy. Perfect. Easy install.
Mr Edwards Great item, not available from many retailers, but made available here and at a great price, ordered and delivered within 3 days too!
Fatbiketherapy Fantastic upgrade from the older RS500 chainset. It was actually cheaper to buy this than new rings, and it looks fantasic. Great upgrade at a brilliant price.
Mr Simmonite Great value chainset - fitted onto my CX bike, looks great
Mr Milton An excellent chainset. I have installed this on my road bike as a replacement for a well worn 5800 Compact crank. This one is a little heavier, but once installed on the bike you don't notice the weight at all. Seems to be durable enough and the finishing quality on the crank is fantastic!
John I wanted an 11 speed crankset on a budget and these fitted the bill. They are ~100g heavier than the 9 speed sora crankset they replaced (~950g vs ~850g) which surprised me, but ultimately I don't mind as they feel stiff and they shift fine with a m8000 front mech and KMC SL chain. Coming from a 175mm crankset, these 172.5mm cranks feel mostly the same, if maybe a little more 'spinny'. As a bonus, replacement chain rings are cheaper than the other 11 speed shimano cranksets and they have a more subtle look, which I wanted.
