Avian CR2 50 Carbon Road Wheelset - 700c
The Avian CR2 is a lightweight, versatile carbon wheelset designed for riders who want high-performance road wheel technology with the versatility to venture beyond the tarmac.
The CR2 uses T1100 carbon fibre to increase stiffness and strength, with the rim tested to withstand a 120J impact and support up to 140kg of spoke tension. This creates a strong and durable foundation without adding unnecessary weight.
Loop
Avian's Loop construction uses a continuous piece of carbon fibre through the main section of the rim. Compared with conventional multi-piece construction, this improves the integrity of the carbon structure and contributes to greater rim strength and stiffness.
Mega-Structure
No external hole design. The continuous structure make the rim stronger and stiffer. Rim tape is not needed and thus saves another 50 grams in use.
Extrawide
With a generous 24mm internal / 30mm external rim width, the CR2 is designed to provide an excellent balance of tyre support, aerodynamic performance and control. The wider profile is particularly well suited to modern road tyres while also providing the versatility required for gravel riding.
Purim
Not only paint free. Under Purim technology, the raw rim is already close to painted rim so only need to be slightly polished and thus reserves more strength and stiffness.
Ratchet System
Stable and easy to maintain by changing ratchet ring inside. Each is examined under microscope for endurance.
