The MET Elfo kid’s cycling helmet has been designed specifically for children and features its own shape for greater head coverage making it better suited to babies. MET have ensured that the back of the helmet is almost vertical to enable your child to sit up straight in a child seat and they have included their own Bimbi-Secure internal geometry to make sure there is no contact between the helmet and the fontanelle, the most fragile zone of a child’s head. In the event of an impact, the shock is dispersed away from the area of the skull which doesn’t fully close until after the first years of life.
In-Mould Intelligent Fusion Construction
Bimbi plus - Back of helmet designed vertical and flat so children can lean back in baby seat
Integrated visor - Extra protection for the eyes and the face of the child
Anti-insects net - Prevents insects from entering the helmet through the front air intakes
Central dial adjuster with integrated LED light
One Size - Fits even the youngest kids, from 46 cm to 53cm head size
These Helmets are certified with a European CE EN1078 standard. This is a European standard and although the helmet is perfectly safe to use, specific countries may have their own certification which is legally required if you intend to wear the helmet recreationally or in a competitive racing environment. If you are unsure, please check your specific country requirements and check with the manufacturer to see if the helmet has received any additional certification.
Ms McInarlinGreat quality helmet with a fab design. Bought for my 19 month old son and I'm glad I've found a safe helmet to fit.
Mrs DixonWas looking for a new helmet for our son and most I came across had TV characters on it but we wanted more of a plain helmet and came across this one. We ordered the black and red one and was very impressed when it arrived with the style and fit. Merlin as a company were very easy to use and delivery was very fast. Would use again and would recommend to others.
Mr LanderReally good product, fits like a glove and baby super happy to have it on.
John LGood price and nice helmet. The light on the back is a nice touch.
DavidGreat fit and adjustability for a 20 month old toddler. Very pleased with quality too.
CBVery happy with this helmet for our 12 month old son. One of the few I found that came up small enough, but with room to grow as he grows. The central dial adjuster at the back enables us to get the perfect fit on his head and the vertical shape at the rear gives extra protection and enables him to sit nicely in his seat without banging the back of the helmet on the seat rear. Love the vibrant colour and we have had many compliments about his green monster hat! ;) Highly recommend if looking for a good priced first helmet.
ChristineI researched a while to find a helmet for my young infant daughter at 6 months, and the MET Elfo Kids I found to be the only one that runs this small in size. It's easy to size adjust, appropriately lightweight and I was impressed with the internal structure, designed specifically for a delicate little head.
Mrs SteeleArrived promptly. Good fit and our 2 year old grandaughter delighted with it
BenNice and light. Fits well on the 9 month old
Mr SkinnerSuper helmet for little heads
This is the second MET Elfo we have, the first being for Harry's older sister (now 3). They are lightweight and easy to fit. They aren't so big as to make my kids look like a pair of mushrooms. This was the main reason we went for these and the fact that the back of the helmet is flat. No good if your infant is into time trials but excellent if they are going to be sitting in a bike trailer like ours started out. Harry's sister now uses hers on her bike and still loves it. The in built rear light is a bonus. I'm into my bikes and a bit of a nerd, if I didn't rate the MET Elfo I'd not have bought two.
TomI purchased this helmet for my 2,5 year old daughter. Fits perfect, she likes the colour (bright yellowish). Helmet protects back of the head. There is plenty of adjustment plus price is reasonable. Also light on the back makes kids more visible which is what we as parents like.
