Race Face Chester Flat Pedals
The Chester is super tough and burly nylon composite body provides a large platform with the same grip as traditional alloy pedals via the bottom loading 8 hex traction pins per side. Thin and lightweight is the name of the game with the Chester, featuring a cro-mo axle that is fully sealed and a 100% serviceable bearing and bushing system. This pedal offers great performance for a wide range of riders at a price that leaves plenty of cash in your pocket for that round of bevies at your local watering hole after hammering out a day of hot laps with the crew.

Richard Great pedals, no slip and have already taken a bit of abuse with no issues 👍🏻
Andy Trek Not as grippy as I had hoped but other reviews mention this too so I wasn't surprised (the bridge in the middle of the pedal is quite high) however the pedals work well and look fantastic on the bike. I may look for longer pins to help with the grip.
Mr Friend Plenty of grip, I've had a few pedal strikes as witnessed by the scratches visible on the aluminium cranks but the pedals still look good, unlike my other alloy pedals which very quickly look like they've hit rocks. Not ridden them long enough to comment on bearing durability but frankly unless they wear out to the point they become unusable 2-3x as fast as alloy pedals they are probably still worth it for the price difference alone.
Dobby Cannot complain at all for the money. Big enough, stable flat peddle. Much thinner than my standard peddles and those spikes dont let your shoes move at all. Almost locked on without needed to be clipped on. Don't think my shins look forward to being chewed by them!
Mr Langeveld Really great pedals! If you pair them with some nice grippy mtb shoes then your feet will not come off the pedals. The material is strong.
Mr Richards Grear pedals, look good feel like your clipped in soo much grip. Item was packaged and delivered fast. Well done merlin bikes I'll be back for more soon.
Mr Hedley Nice and grippy
Mr Stone Easy to fit and very good grip. Instant upgrade on the standard pedals supplied with my new bike. Already used a set of these on my previous bike so knew what I was getting.
