Schwalbe G-One Speed TL-Easy Evolution Folding Gravel Tyre - 700c

The Special One. Unleashing profile and breathtakingly fast - especially when large volume counts. As a 30mm wide road race version with V-Guard protection, G-One Speed is a tyre for the real tough jobs. You can ride it as a handmade tubular or with the most modern Tubeless Easy technology. But it is also a guarantee for maximum speed in extra-wide 60mm excecution - of course not only at the fascinating beach races on Holland's coasts. The new G-One Speed is an evolution of the former S-One and B-One.

Mr AshcroftGreat upgrade from my last gravel tyre, faster on the road, great on trails, not bad on some mud. Very easy to fit on dtswiss rims. Very happy so far - 150 miles ridden so far .
EoinReally pleased with these tyres for my new gravel bike. I will use these on dry days with mixed road and off road. Am more than happy to use Schwalbe
AJBought these for my winter bike (CaadX). Tubeless setup was very easy on Hunt wheels. They role well for a bike tyre and certainly give a plush ride. If your looking for flat out speed I would look at other tyre options.
PiersFantastic tire for winter on-road- reasonably puncture resistant and minmial rolling resistance.... Grippy enough on tame gravel paths
Mr BlakeGrippy, comfortable and fast rolling! This tyres seems to do all three! Gives me confidence in the wet as well as the dry. I run them at 55psi. They were a little tricky to seat tubeless on my UST Easton rims but possibly because it was cold and they were not so supple. Now they are up all is good. Recommended (this is my second purchase of them) And the first one lasted 5000km so durable too
WheezyWheelsFitting was relatively straightforward, not too tight/loose on my rims (Reynolds Assault 2016). After some faffing with rim tape, I managed to get a seal. Initial impressions are that these roll well and are comfortable. I will experiment with different running pressures to see what works best.
Matt FletcherOutstanding tyres - really easy to fit to my Hunt wheels - only needed some firm thumbs to push on. I fitted a tube overnight to shape the tyre but probably didn't need it. Seated with just a normal track pump no problem, and hardly any loss of pressure overnight after adding sealant and inflating. Only about 300k on them so far but they feel smooth and have no issues with grip on the wet and muddy roads. Really recommend this as a comfortable and fast winter tyre.
Andy35mm Fast tyre and very comfortable comes up quite a bit smaller than the 38mm hope it’s puncture resistant!
Matt McGVery easy to fit and roll quickly on the road and seem good on hard packed gravel, too. Not tried them on anything rougher, yet.
Richard DooganGreat tyre that offers superb grip in a variety of conditions. It does wear fairly quickly when you run it on the road, but I don't mind that for something which offers such great cornering confidence in all conditions.
John K.Bought these for my winter training/commuting bike. Fitted these on to my Stans Iron Cross tubeless rims which were already tubeless ready. Foun these a bit hard to get the tyre on so needed an extra pair of hands! The tyres seated really well and hold air well. Haven't used them on the road yet but I'm already using Schwalbe G-One 35mm on another of my bikes and really happy with them.
Mr S RobinsonGreat commuting tyre to get you through the winter months. A surprising amount of grip on gravelly muddy terrain. Very tight on the rim but sealed easily. A supple ride at 50psi. For under £30 is an absolute steal!
Genoone of my favorite "winter" tires. supple yet durable with just enough tread to take it on some well-tamed gravel.
Mrs FlynnReally good for hard pack gravel and general rubbish UK roads, no good for the real muddy stuff
danielAmazing piece of kit. I’ve noticed little to no difference in average speed over my usual routes compared to the continental GP’s they replaced (I’m no expert in rolling resistance or speed I average 19mph over 30-50miles) but the grip on crappy wet muddy roads has been a life saver and real confidence booster. I’ll definitely have these again, easy to fit and inflate. I’m now a tubeless, 35mm convert.
Mr CanpolatUsed these for my gravel bike. Nice on "flat" gravel and excellent on tarmac! You can also consider these for commutes.
KevinEasy to fit, fast rolling and comfortable. Good price too
Mr burgessExcellent - fitted onto hunt aero 30 - abit tight fit but did with my thumbs and hands - gone tubeless - set up simple and straightforward , no leak of air - on road roll superbly - this is now my go to tyre imho better than gps5000 or 4 seasons
Mr AbramsIt must be some kind of Alien technology G-one speed amazing
Miss SolansFast going with increased grip for uneven surfaces. Very good for bits were road might be a bit loose
Mr O MahonySmooth rolling tyre. Very difficult to fit.
RolandSuperb gravel / road combo tire - confident on the trail and fast on the road.
JohnVery difficult to mount on Renyolds Attack rims contrary to other reports I have seen. Hope the performance lives up to the hype.
RobFast rolling and easy to fit. Good price too
Mr ThomsonG-One Speed TLE are fast and comfortable - have used before, really good
CarbomanSticky compound with low rolling resistance.
Mr MooreLight and roll well on trails.
Mr GowrieFollowing good experience with road tyres, I moved to tubeless for touring a couple of years ago with excellent results. Made a 1000 mile circuit of E Europe including lots of gravel and poor roads without problems and with enhanced comfort.
Dr HounsomBought these as a set of spares. Have these on my bike currently. 1000 miles in and wearing well. Roll well feel comfortable. No punctures as yet. Tight fit on 32mm rims needed a tyre lever to get them on but seat well. Not run them tubeless yet
PaulExcellent tyres with super grip and surprisingly supple roll. Great so far!
PaulThis is my second set of G One Speed tyres and I am sticking to them.
JackI love these tires for smooth gravel- fast and cushioned at 50-60psi
THWLExcellent tyre - comfortable ride, excellent low rolling resistance - bike is eerily silent and glides along
mickGreat tyre on the rear of my Mercian on DT RR410 rims. Grippy, fast and comfy. Great work Schwalbe
JoshuaGreat tire that holds up well for thousands of miles on gravel or tarmac!
Mr DalyExcellent tyres and 'as good' as I was led to believe by all the reviews I read. No problem with grip in summer conditions, even after rain when off-road. No problem in heavy gravel. Superb on tarmac. Overall they added 2kph to my average speed compared to my Autumn/Winter tyre set.
ChristopherGreat slim gravel tyres for shale tracks, paths etc. I think you'd need wider than the 30mm option for really loose stuff, but it makes a great fast rolling option for road with some gravel mixed in.
GeoffThese tyres seem to be fairly fast rolling and provide a good amount of grip in winter conditions.
Rich DooganReally great tyre, very easy to fit. Upgrade from my Sammy Slick which was worn out, this is much smoother rolling, no noise on the road at all. Done about 200 miles on it now and I love it, great levels of grip. it's been dry every day so no idea what it's like in the rain yet, but dry performance is excellent.
Mr LittlerGreat value from Merlin Cycles. This my second pair of these tyres. Going to try the 35mm for a change had the 30mm before. Roll very well on light gravel and excellent on the road.
Mr STEWARTPurchasd for trail and pavement use on my CX bike. Fast rolling.
O TimothyNice tires. EZ to put on. fast roller. definitely recommend. These were put on my gravel bike for road training during the winter with still some ability to go off road.
MarkThe Schwalbe G-One Speed TL-Easy is an excellent tyre for on the road. Its off-road gravel usage is extremely limited as there is very little tread so to speak of and is only 30mm wide, so only the lightest of gravel and fire trails are appropriate. Don’t let that put you off however, for a road tyre it is superb. Low rolling resistance and larger than average size makes it excellent for the usual trash road surface we have in Surrey. It’s much smoother than a 23 or 25mm tyre, has superb grip and rolls just as well as the smaller tyres. There is no way that I’m going back to sub 30mm road tyres.
Mr TothMy tyre arrived two days after ordering, excellent service and I liked the tyre so much I ordered another straight away which also arrived within two days.
NeilNot done a big amount of miles on these yet, but so far they’re comfortable (settled at 40psi, I’m 78kg), grippy & roll well.
RussellMet my expectation based on the many excellent online reviews. Fast and comfortable.
Mr pearceGreat tyres. Very grippy and fast on both sealed and unsealed roads.
Ryan MThese tyres are exactly what I`ve been looking for, great for Sunday morning ride outs and great on gravel tracks. I was worried I might get dropped with my gravel bike on road ride outs but, not with these tyres. I tested them on a rainy day on gravel roads and they coped really well. Slide a bit on mud but that`s to be expected. I was going to run two sets of wheels but now I don`t need too, these are perfect!
Mr GriffithsGreat tyres. Very pleased with extra cushioning from running at low pressure. Easy to fit. Only regret is I didn`t get wider tyre (loads of clearance to spare).
JackI`ve been using 28X700c Schwalbe Pro Ones for a couple years. I decided to try the 30mm G Ones. Bike is a relaxed steel road bike. The G Ones ride similarly to the Pro Ones, but quieter. Subjectively, I`d say speed is very close and only slightly heavier climbing or accelerating. I was looking for a little more durability than the Pro Ones. Well see how that goes. I use Orange Seal.
DougI commute a lot of miles and these tires really last.
SimonGreat tyres - comfortable and grippy. Good service from Merlin.
BradGreat on road and gravel
Mr BrosterGreat tyre, fast rolling, but not too good when it gets a bit loose
JoshThese tires rock. Best all around tire on the market if you ride rough road/fast gravel. A simple tire pressure change replaces the need to swap out tires to match the terrain. For racing, they are good for fast gravel, but if you're not racing on them, then they are good for everything.
PeteThese tyres are the holy grail of tyres in my opinion. After 5000km on the 30mm tubeless, I thought I'd try the 35mm. Rode a 130km route on all road surfaces with 1300m elevation, first I rode it with the 30mm, 28.6kmh average speed and 208 average watts from my power meter. Mounted the 35mm tubeless of course, no hassles, and rode the same route. Felt slower on the climbs, however the stats say otherwise, same identical figures, yes, 28.6kmh and 208w. Power meters don't lie, these 35mm (which have stretched out to 38mm on 21mm internal rims), are equally as fast (at the same effort) as the 30mm. The difference, comfort, the 30mm are fantastic, and I've previously stated, if they fit buy them. Well, the 35mm is super comfortable, what happened to that rough Australian Chip Seal road? Smooth... If they fit, get them! 30mm stats - measure 31mm on 21mm internal rims, front tyre was good for around 8000km, rears squared off around 4000km. Over 8000km and three tyres one only puncture (6mm cut), lots of small cuts but no other actual punctures. Grip well wet or dry, even on hard pack gravel. My usage mostly for distance road riding, these are the best I've every ridden, Thanks Schwalbe.
GeraintGreat service & price from Merlin as always. The tyres do what they say on the box, they set up tubeless very easily, they're comfortable and work well on rough surfaces, I ran them 50psi front, 60psi rear on the cobbles of Flanders and it felt about right. They measure up at exactly 30mm on 23mm wide rims, to be honest I was slightly disappointed with this as I have Pro Ones in 25 and 28 that measure 29 and 31 respectively. I expected these to come up around 33mm or so, but they are true to size. Recommended if they're the right size for your bike.
Neil BJust installed these the day before a 150 mile long gravel race and they were fast as hell and held air with no issues. I'm sold, will buy again!
DavidChose these for my 2016 Kona Roadhouse custom build. Superb tyres! Best tyres ever used in 55 years of riding. Supple, smooth and low rolling resistance. Running 75 rear 65 front on road and bike paths, lower on gravel. Fitted easily with tubes on 19mm DT tubeless ready rim. Great price, rapid dispatch and received without delay at busy time of year. If these will fit your bike do not hesitate to order.
Mr savageExcellent tire, seals right up tubeless with a floor pump... amazing deal at this price!
DanielLight, fast and no punctures after the first 1500km or so. Run tubeless for best performance. Perfect for light offroad use and that rare blend of fast and cushioned on-road.
Mr NashLove these tyres. So much more grip than the Hutchinson Sector 32's which tried to kill me whenever the roads were damp. Merlin's was service excellent as usual.
Mr MartinGrippy, light and fast rolling. Has on lasted couple thousand km so far and is showing substantial wear. Easy to fit tubeless and hasn't had any issues removing and putting in fresh fluid
Steve NelsonHaving ridden Schwalbe One Pro tubeless on the road quite happily I put these sold out in the USA tires (thanks Merlin for having them in stock) on my gravel bike for the 2017 Belgian Waffle Ride, (Look it up: 212 km, 65.6 km dirt, 3352m climbing) replacing the 38mm G-one tires I'd been loving. Great call! They roll very nicely indeed on the tarmac and handle dirt, gravel, sand, rocks and whatever else there was with great aplomb. Excellent tires for all kinds of mixed conditions. There were a lot of punctures on this ride - not me!
JDAmazing tyres, fast and comfy, went up tubeless very easily
ColeExcellent tyre, a wonderful size too, not too wide and sluggish but wide enough to absorb most bumps etc.
