Schwalbe Nobby Nic Addix SpeedGrip Folding Tyre - 29"
The all-rounder that works in every situation, no matter the weather, no matter the terrain. Widest possible range of use: for tour and all-mountain, for difficult cross-country tracks as well as technically challenging enduro trails. Tread design: excellent traction and braking performance thanks to special central stud arrangement, large shoulder studs for excellent control on tricky trails.

Addix SpeedGrip Compound
  • The universal compound. It definitely has the widest range of use. Perfect for XC, AM and Trail: for the majority of EVO tires there’s a version with ADDIX Speedgrip! It replaces the previous PaceStar compound where a significant, though not the only difference, during extensive use is more mileage and a longer life.

Mr WaldronEasy to fit, rolls well with good grip
BradGreat tyres. Light, good amount of tread, easy to fit tubeless. I run these front and rear on an XC hardtail for the UK winter and then something faster for the summer
paulNever had any issue with Nobby’s over the years, only used on local trails so far but feels as good as expected. Great price and fast shipping from Merlin.
BoogergreenglenMaxxis tires are good and well known but these nobby nic can hold their own too. I use these on my rear and it's as stable and fast as my maxxis high roller.
Mr GilesQuality tyre, good grip and rolls well and light weight . Brilliant price and usual great service from Merlin.
RitchieGreat tyre, not the best mud tyre in the world but for mixed terrain it works well for me. Light and fast so slightly more risk of punctures. I always run tyres tubeless so they seal quickly. 4 stars only as they are difficult to pop onto the rims when setting up.
RogerGood winter tyre. A bit susceptible to sharp flints.
jojoGreat grip and soft feeling tires. Slow rolling on way to trails but great grip and feel when you need it.
colin michael1st ride performed well on road and better on forest trails, hope it proves punture resistent .
Mike BrankerA good fast tire for paths and light XC but poor in mud, wet roots and rocks due to the hard compound. DHF/DHR2 is much better.
JimExcellent tire for the varied terrain, weather and surfaces in Northern New England. Great price through Merlin
GinaGreat deal on this tire. My last Nobby Nic lasted years and I wanted to replace with the same. Shipped quickly.
Mr YatesUsual fight to get a schwalbe on the rim but once on, no issues. Blows up small but stretches over night to correct size. Performs great on the trail. Just that bit extra on the front. Rolls and grips well.
Mr LucasGreat tire-great fullfillment! Thanks Merlin! As advertised. Been riding these for years and no regrets.
ride365Great do anything tires. Been running these front and back on my bike for a few years now. From muddy early season trails to hard pack late summer flow trail it's all good. I hate changing tires or worrying about conditions and these do it all. The new Addix compound is better wearing than the previous Pacestar so they are even better than they used to be.
DavidBought for riding tame singletrack and fire roads during covid on a spare wheel set. Usually on magic Mary/Hans dampf combo. Would have preferred 2.6, but these 2.35 are ok and roll fast. A fairly round profile on 29mm rims, and I like their performance on singletrack in dry.
Mr HellewellGreat service and the tyre is spot on, it's a great quality tyre! One happy customer.
EdjBrilliant grip from the start, felt very solid in the mud
PaulI've used these for a few years now, I like them as a do it all fit and forgot type tyre. Fairly tight on a stans rim, goes on bontrager easier.
PaulI ride two or three times a week on these. They 'do it all' for me. They last well, roll well and grip well in most situations. I can run them front and back so that I can have a new tyre up front and rotate the old one to the back. The seal up well with stan's sealant on stan's rims. I've also mounted them tubeless on a number of other rims easily, Bontrager rims and strips always seem to be easy (for me).
Mr PooleThe Nobby Nic is an excellent rear tire. Great braking performance and relatively fast rolling.
KimLight tyre with plenty of grip. Sidewalls aren`t as tough as some of the Maxxis offerings;however they are 200+ grams lighter. There`s always some trade off!
AllanBrilliant back tyres for the chilterns slop !
DrewFor the trail conditions here in southern CA this is a great choice for a rear tire great grip, rolls reasonably well and predictable. My favorite combo is this paired with a Hans Dampf front tire. Highly recommend
JeffExcellent all around mountain tire. Good combination of weight, grip, rolling resistance, and puncture resistance. Doesn't excel at anything, but is good at everything. Usually sets up tubeless easily but were very tight on my current wheels (Bontrager Kovee)
DustinTires mounted easy, no issues seating bead. Performed great on the first ride. We will see how they hold up to wear and punctures.
Mr DoughtonGreat all year tyre for the back, timeless set up was effortless and Merlins service was as amazing as ever.
