Sensa has been making bikes for 25 years, enthusiastic cyclists themselves, Sensas bikes have been ridden in; The Alps, the Pyrenees, the Ardennes and of course the Dutch cycling courses as that’s where Sensa is based.

The Romagna's hydroformed double butted aluminium frame is a creature of beauty, the welds are near seamless; giving the Romagna an almost “carbon” look. What’s more the Romagna is fast, making this bike a great choice for racing or simply cycling. The design of the Romagna is both responsive and efficient. Finished with Shimano 105 this bike offers excellent value compared to other bikes in this price range.

Blurring the boundary between race and sportive, the Romagna is simply a fast all-day road bike. Classic all-round geometry. Uniquely butted-then-hydroformed aluminium frame with smooth welds gives a super clean and modern look.

With traditional external cable routing and non-tapered headtube, the Romagna delivers a total package that’s hard to find in any other brand. Supra carbon fork with straight blades. Various finishing builds available.

Shimano 10 speed drivetrain with double chainset options. Supra Comp handlebars, stem and seatpost. San Marco Spid saddle. Various wheelset options from Supra and Shimano. 9-9.6kg weight depending on build.

In a nutshell: great looking and fast riding aluminium suited to a wide audience.

Good bike for the price, considering the 105 groupset. I use it as a winter bike so I have crud mugguards on it permanently now, rode it for 2-3 months this winter & can't fault it. It's a bit short in the top tube for me (I'm 6"1'), a longer stem helped a bit, but otherwise a good bike. No issues so far but only early days yet. Quick delivery too which was good.
I purchased this as my first ever road bike to commute to work and I couldn't be happier. Good gear changes, sharp brakes and a comfortable ride. Very pleased with my choice
Went for a quick test ride this weekend and she is so smooth, such a good quality and a bargain! The gears are so smooth, overall a joy to ride!
Excellent bike looks fantastic went out for first ride, nice and smooth and fast. Group set spot on absolutely chuffed to bits, would highly recommend.
Really pleased with this bike, the finish is superb and yes it could pass for a look of Carbon. Great value considering the level of equipment, I couldn't find anything to match it for the price. Bought a 52 cm for my daughter who is 5' 7" and it fits just right.
Having not seriously ridden a road bike for some years instead relying on my trusty old Kona MB to nip into town or down the shops I had a sudden desire to treat myself to a new road bike. After doing lots of research, reviews, etc online and looking at many sights as well as speaking to Merlin who were most helpful I decided that the Romagna Special was one for me - what sold it for me, as well as the reduced price, was the 360 degree video clip which showed it to much better effect than photos as used by other companies and it was even better in the flesh when it arrived. I intend to be a fair weather cyclist and will probably not use it seriously till next spring - until then I can just look at it and admire its beauty.
This is my 1st road bike and brought it after reading reviews on Merlin`s and cycling mags, shimano 105 for 750 which was sora or tiagra on the likes of trek, specialized at that price so it was a no brainer, and a frame that people think is carbon as the welds are so perfect you can`t see them at all, it looks great too and the green outer cables are a nice touch. The ride is really comfortable, the handling is great and the 105 shifters have never missed a beat..I was pleasantly surprised by the stopping power of the brakes (I`m used to 203mm discs). However I gave it 4 stars due to the wheels which can only be described as awful, they needed truing after less than 120 miles, again at 208 and 352 including redishing, and now at just over 477 miles they need sorting again, I`m only 13 stone so not a heavy weight and I`ve been really careful not to hit any potholes. Apart from the naff wheels I`ve been really happy and impressed with the bike and would recommend this bike to everyone, it really is that good..I would certainly buy another sensa again as I`d say it was near enough perfect.
First road bike and I have done a little over 500 miles on it so far so I guess its a little early to be writing a review but I`d rather get my opinion out early than not at all. Very nice crisp gear changes with not even a single hint of slipping. Wheelset specification is not easy to get hold of and brakes could be better but its an easy upgrade. Overall I`m a happy very happy bunny with this bike and glad I spent that little extra for the 105 groupset. Looks great and carbon like sheen. Would recommend without a doubt
Fantastic bike and specification at this price. Been out on a 10 miler as afirst ride, very comfortable and smooth gear change with the 105 groupset. Looks classy. Very pleased.
Great product, exceptional value for money. Smooth gear changes thanks to the 105 groupset. The faster you go the better this bike seems to get. So my advice, get the bike, go faster!
Absolutely brilliant bike. Could not recommend this more highly. Looks are sublime, many think it to be carbon, and the ride is just as good.
I ordered the Sensa Romagna spec in black as every one said the black looked better in the pics, was very happy when I unboxed it, what a beautiful looking bike and it goes well to, I am 5,9 with 32 in leg the 54cm fitted me perfect. Merlin Cycles answered all my previous question prior to purchase so thumbs up to them, thankyou guys ;)
I bought this product as a second bike it is great value for money. Bike arrived just under 2 weeks after I ordered it, and well worth the wait. It came all built up only thing I had to do was set the bars and fit the bottle rack that comes with the bike. My first ride was a 60km run in and the bike didn't disappoint, the pictures don't do the bike justice, the 105 groupset runs smooth and for the price is hard to find another bike at this price. The bike runs smooth and gets up to speed very quick and stays there. I had to adjust the front derailer slightly using the high and low screws after a few rides. I have currently clocked up 1000 km on the bike since I got the bike and it is still running very smooth if not better since it has been run in. I would recommend this bike to anyone. I know if the time comes for me to look for a carbon bike I will be looking at the Sensa range as the quality is superb.
This bike is amazing for the price, pictures and pro-mo video does not to do it justice, beautifully built bike, I love the smooth welds on the frame the frame has a 1st class finish to it with lovely simple graphics. 105 groupset does what you expect, smooth and precise shifting, great hubs wheels and efficient brakes make it a great buy have no doubts just get one. Merlin Cycles were excellent from start to delivery I only wish I bought it much sooner.
I am totally new to cycling but decided this year would have a goal so decided to do the RideLondon 100. Being a novice in the biking world, and having never owned a road bike, the first challenge I had was purchasing the bike, the choice is staggering, but I wanted a bike that looked good, had good kit on it and was going to be value for money. After reading many reviews I decided I was going to buy a Specialised Allez Sport, It seemed the universally recommended bike to buy. I visited a Specialised shop and was totally underwhelmed by the appearance of the Allez. While I thought about the purchase, I was flicking through a cycling magazine only to come across the review of the Romangna. I instantly liked it, it looked smart, the group set was amazing for the price and the review was great. I did a bit of research on the web and could only find glowing reports on it. I went for it. I had to wait nearly a month for bike to arrive, I was warned there was a delay on the delivery at the point of purchase, but it was definitely worth waiting for, The bike arrived well packaged and with a few adjustments (putting pedals on, positioning handle bars etc) the bike was good to go. First ride I took it on was 4 days after it arrived and was a 40 mile local CTC ride. The bike was amazing, it is a quick uphill as it is down, the bike was really comfortable and didn't leave me with any aches in the back, shoulders or neck (which I was expecting being so new to the sport). The bike itself is beautiful finished. If it wasn't for the graphics telling you it is an aluminium frame it could easily be mistaken for carbon, the welds are invisible. While waiting to start the CTC it attracted a lot of interest from the other cyclists and really stood out amongst all of the more main stream UK brands. The pictures you can find on the internet of this bike do not do it justice, even though the bike looks good in them, it is far better in the flesh (metal). If you are looking for a good entry level road bike then buy a Trek/Specialised/Scott but if you are looking for a great quality, supremely well spec'd, beautiful looking, fast, good value and comfortable entry level road bike then look no further than the Romagna.
Absolutely love the bike. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.
Very pleased with my purchase :)
This is my first road bike and it feels and rides amazingly!! I've also had nothing but compliments on how the bike looks. A great bike with great build quality! If you are for a new bike in this price bracket then buy this one! Great kit and a great ride for a bargain price.
Absolutely love this bike. It is great value for money, very well specced and great to ride. Very stiff and responsive. To top it off mine came with a deda stem and ritchey bars, a real plus. Almost certainly the best bike available in this price range.
Excellent entry level bike
This is my first bike and I am absolutely over the moon with it. A stylish bike that is well worth the money.
A brilliant bike & a joy to ride.
Excellent service and the Sensa Romagna Special is a superb piece of kit. Thanks to all the team at Merlin.
Superb value. It is a fast bike, a very fast bike. Bring on Spring and some long fast runs.
I bought the Sensa Romagna Special as my first road bike and I'm extremely happy with it. It has a 105 groupset which is brilliant for the price and it was a no-brainer compared to other bikes at this price. I chose the black colour scheme and it looks fantastic. It rides really well, gets up to speed quickly and stays once there. Its a comfy ride even on some of the dodgy local roads. Amazing bike for a great price, buy one now
I hadn't heard much about this range of bikes until I saw the Sensa Romagna in one of my cycling magazines. When I opened the box I was extremely impressed by the quality of this bicycle. It wasn't just that, it also looks fantastic and for the price, the spec of the bike is well up there. Definitely a must have and something I'm looking forward to using on my John O' Groats to Lands End race.
Received the Romagna 2 weeks ago and after combining a 12 mile daily commute with a couple of 40 milers I must say this bike is fantasic ! The carbon look frame enhanced with the 105 group set, have gained glowing reports from friends who have bikes at more than double the price of mine.
Great bike, rides lovely. Great service and fast delivery
Even at full price this is a great spec. At the discounted price it's unbelievable. Colleagues/friends who ride a lot and have expensive Carbon frame bikes have all commented on what excellent value it is early days but ride seems good, quite quick and responsive. No issues. I can't imagine anyone will find a bike of this spec at this price
This is an excellent bike for the price and despite various sizing charts and general advice, I chose the 54cm frame which fits me perfectly at 5' 10" tall with a 32" inside leg.It was very quick and easy to find my optimum setup with no adjustment needed to the handle bar height or stem length, and the seat stem has plenty of height adjustment if needed. The frame quality is of a very high standard with almost invisible welding. On the road it feels nicely taught with no rattles or flexing of the bottom bracket, handles well on sweeping down hill sections and the supplied Schwalbe tires are a good compromise between comfort and road holding. As is usual, no pedals are supplied, but I would recommend a pair of white Exustar Keo pedals as these are very lightweight for the price and compliment the bike perfectly. I can highly recommend the Sensa and if you need a new sportive bike that wont break the bank, then the Romagna is well worth considering as an alternative to the usual branded names which are usually lower specified at this price.
Great bike, great price. I traveled to the store and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful, I have since been back to buy my accessories. Would recommend to my friends, in fact already have done. Built and delivered within a week. Can't fault anything!!
Where do I start ?...This bike is fantastic! Very impressive spec for the money, looks stunning in white with blue & green decals, and the smooth hydroformed frame makes it look almost carbon (well almost!) I shopped around all over the place looking for a sub
What a fantastic Bike looks great, amazing spec, handles like a dream, all in all a brilliant package. I would recommend it to anyone, as the price is outstanding...
Very happy with this bike. It's my first road bike (used to call them a racer) since I was a young man. I've been riding a hybrid bike for the past 8 months and this is a different class all together. I took the chance with this bike as I believe Sensa are new to the UK but I highly recommend buying this model. I got a great price at Merlin and their customer service is second to none.
Great looking bike, fits well, runs vry quietly and smoothly and in a week I have gone from a beginner to doing 70 miles a week. comes with water bottle and is fully buiolt on arrrival and delivered with 3 days, great service and great looking bike. I recon the best money could buy at that spec. Recommend to 3 other already.
Great bike and great bike. Loving the ride. Highly recommended
Fantastic value for money. Other brands with similar components were costing around
Really good bike great price cheapest I could find cheers guys
