TomThe new R7000 is an outstanding groupset. I have R7000 installed on my road bike and purchased these STI levers along with front and rear derailleurs to convert my gravel bike to mechanical 11 speed.
My wife and I each have the older generation 5800 levers on bikes we ride regularly. The old levers perform perfectly, and these new R7000 levers do the job perfectly too with the added benefit of better hoods. The hoods have a cross hatched pattern on them to aid in grip, and they feel slightly wider. I live in Florida where it is either raining or very hot and humid, so having a good surface on which to grip is very important. They were easy to set up, they look great, and they feel even better in your hands.
I highly recommend the Shimano R7000 groupset as a whole, with these shifters leading that charge. I live in the United States, and Merlin Cycles delivered managed to get this to me in a matter of days. Do not hesitate to order from Merlin if you live in the United States!
