Dr YatesBought for my gravel bike after poor experience with the original sram BB which I’ve had to replace several times due to failed/seized bearings as the sealing is poor. This BB seems much better sealed and runs smoothly. All seemed good although after about a year and approx 1500 miles, despite good care/cleaning etc, the drive side bearings have seized although no outwards signs of corrosion. I’ve sent it back for inspection. Hoping the new unit lasts a bit longer
TrisEasy to fit, good instructions, really well packed out with grease already, feels very smooth and a good price.
TAJWReplaced more expensive Hope BB that had been ground to bits, fitted easily and runs smoothly, will see if it outlasts the Hope
GrahamExcellent product. Probably converted me to a Praxis user for life. Lovely engineering and finish. Good instructions if you need them. Bearings appear good specification (without me ratifying their full detail) . Time will tell in terms of longevity but I anticipate equality with more costly brands.
Ride462As with all Praxis products, well engineered. Note this fits both their 24mm taper to 22mm spindle and sram gxp cranks. Also a standard BB tool will fit this (just like Shimano).
Mr ChristieI bought this Praxis bottom bracket as a replacement for the SRAM GXP one that failed quite quickly on my cyclo-cross bike. From a quick look on the web to see what people are replacing the SRAM one with, the consensus seems to be that most people are going with this one. Straight out of the box, the quality is evident. Easy to install and comes with all the usual spacers and a very clear set of instructions for various setups too. Once my cranks were back in, everything was spinning smoothly, and for the price I paid, why would you buy the SRAM one?
CarlI have three bikes all use m24 bottom bracket. The first praxis one I bought it was a big improvement over the standard gxp one, the quality was far better it’s been in the bike over two years and showing no signs of wear or noise I’ve changed to praxis bottom bracket on all my bikes five stars from me.
grahamLooks to be a quality BB, especially when compared to the original Spam GXP one this replaced. Easy installation with good instructions. Only ridden the bike six times or so since fitting, so can't comment yet on longevity so only gave 4 stars but so far I'm impressed.
