Praxis M30 BSA Bottom Bracket

Praxis based the new Turn cranks on the Praxis M30 ‘Wide-Stance’ platform. The M30 bottom bracket uses one spindle for three of the most common bottom bracket frame standards in the market. The Praxis Turn M30 bottom bracket is available as English threaded frames, BB86/BB92, or in the very popular Praxis Conversion for BB30 or PF30 frames. This design keeps the cartridge bearings outboard the frame free of frame tolerance issues and keeps the bearings aligned for longer wear and noise free riding. One crank, with proper bottom brackets’s for compatibility across many frame types.

Features

  • For M30 spindle based cranks only.
  • For install in English Threaded/BSA frame
  • Forged & machined heat-treated 7075 T6 AL cups
  • Steel cartridge bearings
  • 68mm Road version / Cup spacers for 73mm MTB setup
  • Use M30 BB tool for installation
  • Please note: has a 28mm non-driveside inner diameter
Mr ShawBrilliant, does what it needs to do!
Mr LawsonA whole new Bottom Bracket assembly for not much more than it was going to cost me to get new cartridge bearings fitted at the bike shop (long waiting list for service).... and I got to do the job myself.
Paul MackBest bottom bracket standard going, a doddle to change. Good service from Merlin too
Mr rowleyVery Nice well made bit of kit
Mr ArcherSuperb quality, very comprehensive instructions
Mr GroenewoldPraxis makes very nice cranks, but their bottom brackets are hard to get. This specific bb was nowhere in stock. I signed up for the stock alert and after a few weeks I could finally order one. The bb is nice and has all the spacers and dust caps you possibly need. It also has the wave washer that you need for preloading the cranks. Be aware that you need a specific tool to install the cups. And these tools are also hardly ever in stock.
Martin H.Top service from Merlin after I ballsed up my order and got an M24 bb. Quickly refunded and the new order, comprising this bb and the Praxis bb tool, came promptly. Oh, and the product is great too — I'm surprised Praxis chainsets aren't more widely used as an alternative to the omnipresent Shimano.
LarisonRebuilding a vintage Cannondale mountain bike and needed to upgrade crank. The M30 standard provides a wide, externally mounted, sealed bearing configuration that supports a variety of Praxis Cranks. Bracket came prepped with thread lock to avoid creak and misalignment. Bracket installed easily, works well, and looks great.
Mr ThomsonRequired to install Praxis Works sub-compact chainset to my Croix de Fer. Quality part, clear instructions, just remember you need the Praxis tadapter to tighten as it’s different to Shimano standard.
