Blair Currie Great value chain ring, looks like good quality.
Mr B Hanley Fast delivery. Great product as no further chain drop. Used as a single front chain ring for my 2 x 10 speed, on. a Sram x5 crank, which needed the bots from the inner ring to fit the new chainring as its threaded. Or purchase new ones. But it wouldn’t directly fit the crank without these bolts. Just so if someone else wants to do this.
Mr Munn Good product , never dropped a chain
Mr Toyama Good quality and very reasonable price. 30T ring has spacers and threads for chainring bolt. I use the ring for Shimano 12s drive train without a trouble.
Year-round rider I bought the 30T and the 32T. The 30T has standoffs, so I would recommend also buying slightly longer crank ring bolts (2-3mm). The 32T is perfect with the original bolts, that are 9mm long (thread length only). I'm also running a bashring that eats 2mm of the crank bolt rings, so that must be taken in to consideration.
Tim Childs I wanted a black Narrow Wide 32 tooth Chainring, and stumbled across the RSP, (Raleigh) offering at Merlin, great price and works nicely, equal to the competition for sure, but at a more sensible price.
Canadian Winter Rider First RSP ring, so far so good for the 32T. I'm actually using it on a 29er with 3x9 converted to 1x9 and bash ring. It fit very nicely and the chain was not dropped during its nasty maiden voyage. I do not run a chain guide, just a bash ring to make my 3x crank look nicer and protect the ring of course. I'm considering also getting a 30T and 34T for other applications, depending on how long this ring lasts.
Gibbo Nice deep grooves for chain location and haven't had a chain jump off yet. I bought the red version and after one ride the anodising had already worn away from the leading edge where the chain contacts - not surprising or unexpected and doesn't affect the performance (yet) but indicates the wear points to look out for later.
Mark Been riding this for over a year now since converting my MTB to 1x at the front. With the XT clutch derailleur and this narrow wide chainring I have never dropped the chain. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Mr morgan As good as chainrings twice the price, delivery excellent too.
Neil Using this on a 9 speed set up without issue. Looks good on bike. Good price and usual stonking Merlin delivery.
Mr. Noypi As described & bonus the holes have their own thread, old bolts can be re-used.
gilmaney A well made and attractive narrow/wide chain ring at a competitive price, ideal for my 1x10 conversion on my hardtail mountain bike.
Woolley Fantastic chainring from RSP, quality is far better than the price would have you think
Mr Worden Bought this for the commuter bike, with a 9-speed setup. Seems to do the job nicely - the chain stays put when bouncing up and down kerbs etc.
Mr Charles Does the same job as rings double the price. Have one on a different bike & they appear to last well. Looks good. Usual brilliant Merlin service,
Mr Mota Currently running on 1x9 setup, no more chain drop, and looks great too. Excellent value for money.
Bill Dunn Great budget 1x chainring. Color is fantastic. Extremely light. Seems quite strong considering the lack of mass.
BEECH Great product, used on 1x10 drivetrain, no chain loss, I ride Cannock and Llandegla regularly, can`t see the point of buying the more expensive ones. Will buy again, also looks better in the flesh than on the picture !!
Ant Osman I purchased the 32t version in red to run with a 1x10 set up. Product is nicely finished and made and it adds a bit of bling to my bike. It seems reasonably light at 49g on my scales. Fitting was easy enough although it was a tight fit on my crank spider. I used single steel chainring bolts which work just fine. Am using with a Shadow + clutch rear mech and I have not experienced any dropped chains over the roughest of terrain even with the clutch disengaged on the mech. There is also not much chain noise as is the case with some narrow wide rings.
Mr DeOrnelas Holds on to your chain great. No need for a chain guide. Smooth and quiet as well.
Paddy Awesome product, was nervous at first as I have always used a chain guide on my downhill bikes, but after several weeks of jumps, drops, rock gardens and high speed rattles it hasn't failed me once. Very impressed, the colour really pops too. It gives your bike a very clean look without all the chain guides. For the quality I would expect it to be much more expensive, Highly recommended!
Tim Great chainring, does exactly the same job as Hope or Race Face rings and costs half the price. I've not been kind to it and it's still in great shape and no dropped chains at all when using a clutch mech. Great delivery times from Merlin
RyanPrendo Lightweight. Strong. Keeps the chain in line and looks good ... Job done .
