Mr Laverty Works as intended, good quality cassette
davyison With fewer 10 speed cassettes about, and certainly in the larger cog (32) I bought this as a spare. May need to make the next step to 11 speed.
Mr G Shifts about as well as the 28t Tiagra version it replaced, and will keep me pedalling on harder climbs. Quality exactly as expected.
Mike Shifting not quite as sharp as the Ultegra it replaced but at a fraction of the price this makes sense for a part that gets replaced every couple seasons.
Zachary Good basic 10s cassette, I prefer Shimanos over Sram. But at the price, you can almost afford to replace with every chain change.
Mr Ami My wife's bike came with the Shimano 4600 groupset. I purchased this while upgrading to the Shimano 4700 goupset when the 4600 started skipping when shifting. This is a huge upgrade over what the bike came with. Shimano has done a great job with this groupset filtering the technology down from the Ultegra I own on my other bikes. Way to go Shimano for coming out with an affordable groupset for recreational riders that works fantastic.
Stereoj Yep, this is a fine cassette. Well worth the money, and not much heavier than the Ultegra
Josh The 11-32 makes hills a dream. The cassette is well built and is easy to install
Ernie I have 3 Road Bikes and one Cycocross Bike and I have change all but one of them to the 11-34 Tiagra Cassette with the 34-50 Crank up front It makes the steeper hills much easier to climb. Also this was a great price and the shipping was fast.
Mr Bowring This 11-32 cassette was purchased solely to take part in a Sportive on Dartmoor. It replaced an 11-28 which would not have been ideal. It did the job and I have no complaints. Merlin's delivery and service was, as always, exemplary.
Mr Tabiner Usual Shimano quality. No problems fitting. No need to adjust indexing.
Mr Fody Save some money and use these cassettes for commuting and training. Dura-ace/Ultegra cassettes are noticeably smoother but these are 90% as good for a fraction of the cost.
Mr Bateson So far so good. Good shifting. Does the job.
Mr Burdett Apart from a slight weight gain, I`ve yet to find any noticeable difference between the Tiagra cassette and its higher-priced alternatives
Silvano Pereira Shimano cassettes, in my opinion, are excellent! The Tiagra line, even being the fourth in the hierarchy, is still excellent!
John Really top notch cassette for just general riding, training. Appreciate the 12-28 range and certainly find myself using the 28t more often the 12t.. Serves its role as a training cassette perfectly. Could be lighter, and have separate cogs for better cleaning.
Mr Roberti Un pacco pignoni ben progettato, con un aumento di peso trascurabile rispetto a un equivalente di 105, consente ancora variazioni precise ad un prezzo conveniente.
Mr Horridge Replacement for a 12-28T Tiagra cassette. Easy to install, a 10 minute job. Didn't even need to adjust the derailleur. Dialled-in perfect every shift.
Edward Excellent piece of kit. Good shifting, useful 32 tooth sprocket and well finished. A few grams heavier than 105, but is that an issue at this price?
Peter At first I was after the 11-28 Cassette but ordered the 32 tooth version instead. It gives a slightly better range, useful for some of the hills I ride. Sturdy and trustworthy piece of kit, this.
Dr Partridge Usual Shimano quality. Easy to fit and very smooth running.
B P Trusty and awesome performance as ever from the Tiagra range. Ordered as part of the yearly bike freshen up! Great service from Merlin too.
John Great workhorse, wanted a 32T for some mountain riding and it was either this or a Sram at twice the price. A little heavy but 100 gram not going to be noticed when using the 32 cog.
James Workhorse cassette, no complaints.
Devin Stetler After hours of research I discovered this little gem. Not many 10 speeds will give you a 32T for this price. Sure, it's a bit heavier than some, but for a commuter and enthusiast I am absolutely loving this upgrade form my old 12-25T 9 spd. Massive improvement in climb-ability around the SF bay area.
Mr S Standard workhorse cassette, performs faultlessly. I use this cassette for commuting/club rides over 100 miles a week and have another on a second wheelset for cyclocross, never had an issue with them yet. Great value, for me they last for about 4,000 miles of all-year, any-weather riding before needing replacement.
Mr Wareham Excellent cassette, only been out on a few rides so far, and the range on the 11-32 is excellent, medium cage meant I couldn't go up to 34 but having a better middle range makes such a difference.
Dan Great Shimano quality on this cassette, has cut-outs on the larger cogs to save weight - couldn't see the point in paying the extra for a 105 etc version. Fits fine on my Shimano WH-501 and Mavic Ksyrium wheels without any need for extra spacers (Mavics needed in the standard spacer only).
Mr SEARS Smooth changing, excellent.
Flatley Good value for money cassette, not high end but still good quality.
Willdomini Excellent, well priced item. Used in conjunction with my Shimano Zee Derailleur on a 1 x 10 MTB set up. Changes very slickly and gives solid feel. Delivered in 2 days, well done Merlin.
Howe Nice cassette, decent quality, great price too.
Mr Morris Great choice for an inexpensive 12-30 cassette, but if you want something worthy of a nice bike, opt for the Ultegra version.
Paris You can't beat these cassettes for value, seem as good as Ultegra
Mr NOVAK A few years ago one had few (shimano) choices for road cassettes with a 30T. It was either this one or the ultegra one. It seems that there a few other choices with 30T now. This one works great and weighs more but costs less than the others, so there you have it.
James D. Great quality cassette for the price. Shifting is smooth and if you keep an eye on your chain wear it'll last a long time. Smashing service from merlin as usual.
Mr Bucci Great value component, does the job when the budget is tight.
Mr Sampson Bit of a lump but changes gear as well as any other cassette I have had
Freester Built like a brick, last forever. (and cheap as chips with quick delivery as usual from Merlin)
Mr Covey Purchased this for my trainer wheel and it shifts smoothly. Not as light as the Ultegra and quality not as good but for a trainer, it makes no difference. Still a great cassette for the price.
Gareth Perfect, Ok, not a light as a 105, ultegra etc, but smooth changes under load....absolutely no complaints
Mr Chesson Works well and as tough as old boots!
Miss Ribeiro It is a little heavy, but it is an honest product with a good price. I purchased it to my training road bike and I am pretty satisfied.
Andrew C Good value product that's proved durable.
Mr Holt Excellent product, use this on my spare/turbo wheel. Not the slickest cassette I've used but works a treat on a spare wheel and pretty much bomb proof.
Mr Wharton Decent quality for the price. The shift seems as good as on any other Shimano cassettes.
Mr BIRD This is a decent cassette and not that different from a 105 one but much cheaper. It has got a shiny finish but the weight was very reasonable and looks like it will be very hard wearing. Ideal for training wheels where a 25 sprocket can come in handy
Mr Bell Bought to use on a trainer wheel great price and shifts as well as my cassette on my normal wheels. Usual shimano quality.
Daz Works a treat, no complaints. The 11t allows me to get the ratio I need on the flats.
Mr Monaghan Used this cassette for climbing Alpe d'Huez last week and it worked great. I bought the 12-30 ratio and it gave me peace of mind in case I found it too tough.
