Mr BalmerAmazing value for a tremendous bike. It's light and feels fast and strong, the components are excellent too. It even looks pretty cool! Can't believe my luck to get a Ridley bike for such a reasonable price.
DariuszI have got the bike for over 2 months and have done 2k+ already. I was initially disappointed with the BR460 brakes but then learnt that changing the pads sorted out the issue ( the included shimano pads are rubbish, even cheap clarks multi compounds are better, especially in the wet ) . This frame is absolutely great but bear in mind a bit different too, I actually had to learn the new position to ride. The bb is a bit higher then normally, the sizing is also unusual, I am 6.0ft and about 77kg and the 54'' seems good, possibly even 52'' would be fine. Change the tyres immediately as the the included old Conti are crap, Michelin Lithions 2 are good and cheap alternative. The Tiagra works perfectly and the merlin's setup was great, however I don't like the plastic STI gear reducers but... this is just Tiagra. The included saddle ,stem and seat post(fairly large offset) (4za Stratos) are great, tape really nicely wrapped, handlebars' ends unfortunately keeps popping out but that's not an issue really and I know now that Merlin would help. Wheels are good - sturdy, almost true, just good, nothing spectacular , nothing bad too.The initial problem with badly fitted rim tape was sorted out immediately by Merlin.Overall good experience with the bike and Merlin.
Ben GGreat bike. Live between two locations, so bought to prevent transporting bikes backwards and forwards. Other bike has a 105 groupset and retails for over 1300 pounds in UK. Very happy with Tiagra groupset, frame and forks. Ridden in North West and in the French Alps on a two week holiday. Eats up the miles on relatively flat UK roads and actually performed pretty well in the Alps - in and around Bozel, up to Courchevel, Pralognan etc. If you are starting out, look no further. If you want a commuter or winter trainer, look no further (very helpful fella in upmarket Manchester Deansgate bike shop was impressed with frame and forks and says you can fit mud guards.) If we are allowed to be picky at this price, wheels feel a bit heavy, but wheels being a weakness is hardly news for any complete bike package. Oh, and my bike came with a black Elita crankset. Looks better, but is cheaper than the Tiagra...does not bother me. If you are matching pedals, call and check. Service excellent. Issue with delivery dealt with extremely well - do not be concerned with online purchase. AND CALL TO CHECK SIZE! They are huge. I am 6'2" and a 56cm is a good fit and maybe slightly too long.
Mr PhillipsBought this as my first road bike, brilliant value for money with a good group set. Plenty of gears to choose from which helps on the hills, works well for me!
Mr CourtneyFantastic bike!
