Mr Quilter Excellent, fast, lightweight , summer tyre.
Mr Benbow Fantastic service from Merlin Cycles as always. Their price is hard, if not impossible to beat plus the delivery options are second to none. I can't comment on the tyres yet because they have not been fitted yet.
Tom Black Have a pair of these on my Fulcrum Quattros and no sign of any damage or wear after 2K miles ... and Merlin are doing them at a good price 👍
Frances Great tyre , fast and reliable
Rob Love Vittoria tyres and these live up to my expectations. Great product and good price from Merlin.
stephen Can't comment on longevity,or the "p" word as I have only had 4 rides in the past couple of weeks, but tyres roll really well and definitely live up to the name pro speed
Jordan These are such smooth and fast running tyres, yet you have great grip and puncture protection. Normally I ride on Schwalbe's from Merlin, but these have convinced me to use both brands now. Mounting is actually easier than Schwalbe!
Mr Ashkenazi Good tires, very light and very nice performance I love them
Mr Bouchard I love these tires, smooth, fast, and never had a flat so far. after 15,000km with them.
F Green Excellent road tyres, low rolling resistance with the tyre changing from hard to soft dependent on whether rolling or cornering.
J. Michel Good, fast rolling tire that sticks to the ground. Also has decent flat protection. Would highly recommend this for an all day every day tire
Mr Hinds Read so much about the new gen Rubino Pro Speed G+. So, as I have been running Ultremo ZX for a good few years, I decided to change to these on the race wheels. First run out was on a middle distance tri in which the bike course run through several long sections of tight, bumpy gravel filled section of roads. After seeing a number of competitors stopped fixing punctures, I was happy that I got through with no affect. The tyres ride very smooth and tend to softness some of the harsh road surfaces. Noticeably good acceleration on them and holding higher speeds is good. Cornering is very re-assuring. Even on a number of 90 deg bends, the bike held firm. Even after the one 63 mile run out I have been impressed and can highly recommend. Later inspection of the tyres showed no signs of cuts or tyre damage from the road surfaces ridden.
Mr Dalton Great tyres for both training and racing. I replaced a pair of Michelin Pro3 Race tyres with the new Rubino Pro Speed G+ and have been extremely happy with their performance so far over circa 600 miles. They are a lightweight tyre and give the feeling of very little rolling resistance when rolling along in a straight line, in corners they are confidence inspiring! The tyres are multi compound and the shoulders are made from a softer compound which is extremely adhesive when cornering - in fact the harder you corner the better they seem to react! The negative point I have noticed is that they pick up nicks and cuts quite easily, although I am yet to have a puncture - and to be fair they have been ridden through the lanes of the Chilterns and Surrey Hills through the worst of the winter so anything less than a tractor tyre is likely to have picked up cuts! It's too early to comment on how well they wear but so far they look to be doing well, the centre bead is still proud of the shoulders and there is no obvious signs of degradation in the main trad or the sideways. If you are looking for a fast rolling, training/race tyre then I would give these a go - for a hardwearing commuter or touring tyre I don't think they would be robust enough.
